Opinion:  "Faith" should always be followed by "in [object of faith]" at which point the remainder of the quote may or may not be a reasonable proposition.  Sorry, the cynic in me is surfacing this morning.

I typically embrace my inner cynic at times.

The weather has finally turned "normal" here meaning it has been down to nearly freezing at night and not making it to 50º F during the day.  I gotta get the lawn mowed quickly for the last time before it gets covered with snow.

Not enough in the front house.

Yeah, our cold front came in last night. Brrr

You call 78* a cold front???  (thats around 28* rough guess for you Canadians)

Damn, it. I need to be better careful. Slipped and fall, but nothing injured but my pride and my arse.

Makes two of us. Got my foot stuck in a particularly soft mudhole in a field yesterday. When I tried to pull out I lost my balance and hit face first in the mud.  Least it was a soft landing, though I will not tell you what was mixed in with the mud.  Lets just say I spent my lunch break driving home for a shower!

Glad to hear you’re okay, A.

Thanks, you two. It was stupid too, tripped over my own feet.

Tomorrow Canada remembers Canada's Hundred Days and the Armistice
100th anniversary - 1918-2018

i am working on a poem for it

Not to distract you, but you have me recalling the poem you wrote last year. It was lovely.

Thanks Reader ... i've written 3 so far ... they are scattered around the joint... tomorrow will be four

None of them hold a candle to Maj. John M. McRae's however:

"In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

"We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

"Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields."

They played it today at a special ceremony. The chairman of the soccer team we follow was killed 2 weeks ago in a helicopter crash.. he was a lovely very rich, but very kind man. The whole city loved him.  I went to find the song and found that video...
