So far, so good. Today is Finland's independence day. Since my mum and I are from there, I'm going to hers to eat dinner and watch the gala at the presidential palace in Helsinki on TV. Traditions are important! :P

Hope you're doing well today, tim.

Good morning all.

Adding another new client to the therapy roster today. Evals always make me a bit apprehensive. One never knows how autism can affect the behavior.

Sleeping is way more important than hanging with the Waltons a little while longer.

Telling them is the easy part.  I need to know how to make them listen!

Good luck, and I think it's fantastic that you help children like this.

Not just children.  About 60 % of our clientele are adults. We handle everything from physical disabilities to PTSD to Autism, Cerebral Paulsy and Tramatic Brain Injury.

The gent we took to the Special Olympics is partially paralyzed on one side after a TBI

At my mum’s now. We’re cooking. Salmon baked in puff pastry, Finnish herring salad (beets, potato, carrots, gherkin, apple, parsley; might sound weird if you’re not used to it, but it’s soooo yummy). And prune tarts for dessert.

I was gonna talk to mum about the whole transmasc thing today... it’s time we talk about it, but I feel like I’m about to chicken out. Scared of what she’ll say, if she’ll be indifferent or reject it. It’ll hurt so much if she does. We’re not talking disowning or anything, but like she’ll just pretend it’s not a thing. Just like she has when I’ve mentioned being non-binary. I’m afraid.

Good morning, DiC'ers.

I just looked at the clock and saw that it was still morning.

It feels later than it actually is.

Read a couple of Anthology Stories, and I do believe there is a good crop of them this time.

(Not just saying that, because I have one in the collection, and one of my Favorite Authors has one as well, see a couple of posts above. Hint, Hint...)

Seeming indifferent could indicate she doesn't care male or female, you are her kid and she loves you.

I can't say if you should or shouldn't tell her. It took me years to tell my mother that I was gay, and she already knew. Listen to your gut... if it's saying this is not the right time, it may not be.

I know she does. I just wish that she’d listen when I talk to her about it. She just kind of ignores me, changes the subject. And that hurts, because it feels like she’s not accepting who I am.

Yeah. You may be right, I dunno. But I’m in a place right now where I’m starting to be more male presenting IRL. I write about it on social media, I talk about it to my friends, and I feel like I should tell her rather than just letting her see it all online. Which she does. She just doesn’t comment or mention it or anything.
