We cooked sausage, potatoes, carrots, and green beans in foil packets for dinner, with a bit of olive oil and Italian seasoning.

Sorry for not chatting much today. It has been very stressful for me. Cookie was spayed today, and I was a wreck... silly, I know, but she was so sad when I took her in at eight this morning. I picked her up at five and she was pretty groggy, but very happy to see me. She is in her crate, and all is good. It will be a tough week trying to keep her quiet, but between the leash and the crate, I should be able to keep her from injuring herself. My son isn't allowed to take her downstairs for the next week.

She's in perfect health, but I got hassled for her carrying too much weight... there was fat around her liver and kidneys.  My son and I reevaluated her feeding... we think she's been getting too many treats and dental bones, so we are going to be vigilant. She gets two ounces of chicken breast mixed with her food each of her two daily meals, and we are reducing that to one ounce, with less kibble. If that doesn't work we might try one feeding per day, but I have never done that with any of my dogs before.

 for you and Cookie. It's always kind of sad having to neuter our pets, especially with females like should we let her have at least one pregnancy, will it play on their attitudes... But it's also a lot less worry and "problems".

The weight thing isn't easy to appreciate and judge for us no professionals. We want to please them and there so many treats that appear healthy. Our older cat was a bit too far too so we had to change the kibbles and less wet food and treats. It was the same kibbles we had always given to our previous cat but as each animal is different (she is a girl, less active...) we had to adapt.

Lot of love to you and her
