Hey, Dugh, Mum, and Thistle.     We have somewhere between 5 to 8 inches of snow (just a guess based on how much I had to stomp off my boots when I got home), and the weather calls for another 1.75 inches. Currently, the temperature is 26 F/ -3.3 C, with cloudy skies. Also, there's a storm warning in effect until 6:00 a.m. tomorrow.

So this morning I cleared away all the frost killed flowers and foliage and added them to the compost bin. Then I ran the lawnmower over the lawn to crop the grass down for winter. Since I have a mower that mulches I was able to chop the fallen leaves in with the grass clippings. No need to rake them. The outside of the house is prepped for winter.

Yesterday, I put the heater in the water trough, and coiled up the hose... my grass is the right length for winter, and my air conditioner is covered. Let the games begin.   Oh, I have to close up the back of the loft, but I'm not allowed on the ladder.
