We got about 4" overnight with freezing rain on top of it.  We have about double that on the way for tomorrow.   I suppose I can't complain, since we've really had no winter to speak of yet.  Lake Erie has set a record for least amount of ice cover at this time.  It's only 11% covered, which means the possibility of huge lake effect storms.

I'm over 600 words into Chapter 2 of a new novel I'm writing   So I have a prologue and Chapter 1 written, and it's flowing smoothly so far.   Fingers crossed it continues

Hi all, 

A sunny and warm day with 10°C (it was still 4° at 7.30pm!). The sunset looked stunning from my great aunt balcony, like an horizontal rainbow. 

In other news the spinaches in their bright pink rectangular planting pot on the window sill are coming out! I'll buy another one to put strawberry plants.

I can't wait to start the garden again. Sowing seeds, waiting for them to grow, taking care of the plants... And just being in the garden and digging in soil

I look after my geraniums and mini roses all winter, but it's nice to get them out in the spring.   I just gave up on a fern recently... ferns are tricky to keep healthy, but the two plants in the same pot are doing well.

I did that, but this fern didn't seem to like the indoors, no matter what I did. It was really delicate compared to some robust ferns I've had in the past.

I already have seeds for beets, radishes, and leeks ordered.

I am ok but we have staff up north that will be bracing themselves with a direct hit of a category 4 cyclone today. We closed the office. It has been a busy week, neighbour house on fire, corona virus and cyclone. Definitely ready for the weekend
