For some reason that comment reminded of one of the many bawdy songs that we used to sing in the communal bath after a match when I used to play amateur Rugby Union for my local town many years ago. The particular song was called An Engineer Told Me Before He Died. It's really very crude, so be warned should you decide to listen to it in the following YouTube Video... Spoiler 6

Well, I think that even though you may not have children, you can still be the grandpa here since you are older than all of us on HP lol Edited January 16, 2021 by Story Reader 1 3

And then I was hosting a 2 hour Zoom session in the early afternoon, which was a bit disappointing as the sun decided to shine about five minutes into it. I did manage to get about 90 minutes work done before it got dark, and can now see many of the slates on the second shed. Here's a photo I took shortly before dark showing the two sheds quite clearly: I'm thinking that I shall shortly have to take the ladder into next door's garden and continue cutting from that side... What an interesting wall. I love the stonework. I think the shed on the right is going to look really cool once all the clearing is done. I hope you can keep it. 8

To possibly give you a better idea as to where these two stone sheds are in relation to the lower portion of the garden, and the old stone cottage, here's a photo I also took today, this time from the back wall of my dwelling house. The white wall on the right is the gable end of the two story stone cottage. 6
Marty Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 For dinner tonight I am preparing oven roasted potatoes and swede (rutabaga), steamed cabbage, and scrambled egg. All the vegetables are from my own garden. 2 3

I hope you can keep it. To be honest, I haven't made my mind up yet. It's not really a huge shed and, as I said yesterday, I don't really need the storage space. I am wondering whether to maybe remove both of the sheds and erect a lean-to greenhouse in their place against the boundary wall. I've also considered doing that in the upper garden, where such a structure would receive much more sunlight. If I were to do that, however, I would really need to get permission from the owner of the empty stone built neighbouring house, as the lean-to greenhouse would be attached to its gable end. 7
