Every day is Val day    As for today, it's turning out rather sucky.  The sump pump is replaced, but then we went and checked out the pipe outside where it goes from the house to the underground pipe, it was frozen solid.  So the pipe on the outside of the house had blown off.   So the plumber put a temporary pipe there and I attached a flexible hose to it so it will drain onto the lawn until the pipe thaws.  I'm so sick of this shite.

We're supposed to get walloped with a winter storm this afternoon through tomorrow, and then again later in the week, so I'm very glad to get this work done now.  I wish I could have gotten to the grocery store before the storm hit, but I have enough to last me the week.  Just no fresh veggies   #firstworldproblems 

Hey kid! I have a couple boxes of frozen peas and a package of fresh mushrooms I could overnight to you.

Fortunately the plumber checked the pipe before he left and was able to make temporary repairs.

The day started well enough that I could run the vacuum cleaner through the house for mum. However, now it's time to rest quietly and enjoy a libation ... thanks for asking.
