Popular Post Headstall Posted January 19, 2019 Popular Post Posted January 19, 2019 Crazy day for me, but I can finally relax. So... you all know I've had a hard time with saying goodbye to my American Bulldog... finally, I reached a point I was ready for a dog. Unfortunately, I ended up in disappointment when I decided to rescue a Greyhound from the track. So many are euthanized when their career is over. Two different dogs fell through, and I lost heart. Crap happens... but today I found a dog online whose photo reached in and grabbed my heart. Don't ask me why, because I don't know. I showed it to my son, who badly wants a dog, and he felt the same way... of course. We took a trip, and are now the proud owners of an eighth month old Border Collie named Cookie. She lived with a family of four kids, but one child developed an allergy... and medication made her drowsy, and she is in Grade one, and wasn't doing well. They needed a new home for their energetic young dog, so we bought her for what they paid for her, and got her a crate, and now she's home. She's American bred, by an Amish farmer, and she's gorgeous! She's smart, and well on her way in her training, and she's already settled in. We will be spaying here as soon as our vet recommends. She's in my son's room... and he is in his glory. Finally, we are dog people again. Mallory could never be replaced, but it was time, and I feel good. 8

Have you introduced her to your mare yet? Thanks, Kit! She is definitely pretty... and smart. She's seen the mare through her stall door, and was pretty calm. We are keeping her on a lead for the first few weeks. 4

Somehow I get the impression she them as big dogs and just wanted to play Yeah, they want to play sometimes, and a horse can kill with one kick... you have to be careful. We're going to make sure he doesn't want to 'herd' the mare. 3 2

The pup was not afraid, but seemed to have a healthy respect for their size. 10 minutes ago, Randy Wade said: though had a cat that chased cats That is either being territorial or horney! 2 5
