One of my BFFs had a severe reaction to the gadolinium in the contrast when she had an MRI.  They told her it couldn't have been the contrast because the side effects listed were all minor.  So they pretty much told her she was nuts.  Well guess what?  Now there's research showing the gadolinium partly stays in the brain afterwards.  So questioning what's in the contrast is a good thing.
