But unfortunately this morning was frustrating having to argue with the hospital doctor when he tried to postpone my dialysis again. I've had to stand my ground as he just seems to be disregarding the implications of delaying treatment. Cutting my sessions down by half is not doing me any good, but he now see's things my way after threatening complaints and legal action. The good thing is that when I saw his boss, the consultant, I got told that they are looking into the possibility of another op and boosting up the list, I've got my fingers crossed 🤞 4 3

It's hard to understand why a doctor would act like that, but it is common in the UK according to a friend here who lived near London before coming to Thailand. I am proud of you for standing your ground. It is unfortunate that a doctor has to be threatened with legal action before he or she does the right thing. I am glad to hear that the boss was on your side. I hope all works out well for you. Take care. Edited May 11, 2023 by raven1 7

There's quite a large backlog on many hospital waiting lists which has been the case for a long time, unfortunately covid has only made things worse and now with a lot of medical staff taking industrial action it's not helping matters. In the case of this particular doctor although he is good at his job he is always an asshole with most of the patients. One of the nurses did tell me that he is close to losing his job, the only reason he still has his job is the shortage of qualified doctors in the NHS. If I get approved to go on the list it's likely to be a long wait and it will be the last time I can go on the list as it will be my third time which is a rare thing to happen. 1 6

Thanks Albert, I've had a couple of close shaves in the past but overcome them, one time was my own fault as I my head wasn't in the right place and I was stupid. But I've got my head back on right now and physically although I need treatment I'm not too bad. I'll be around for a while yet, I've still got a lot to do and there are others that depend on me, it's not much but I'm now doing one night a week at the shelter and I love it. 6

I do hope that things will go good for you. It is unfortunate that the NHS is short of qualified doctors. I hope that the government is working to solve that problem quickly. Again, I hope that thing go better for you soon. 1 6

It reminded me I have to find the box where I store photos. Several years back I started to collect photos from WWI. It was a collection of photos similar to these, on soldiers. What I found unusual is that many of them came from eastern Europe like Bulgaria. Have you read AC Benus' short story for the 2022 Anthology, On The Grass ? It's about a photographer who takes a picture for two gay teens that shows their love for each other at the turn of the last century. Edited May 11, 2023 by raven1 1 4

It was featured in an article on the website of a local organisation. The singer Jimmie Rodgers recorded it back in the 1950's. The photo montage was put together by www.gaytwogether.com, if I come across any more I'll post a link. 4

Popular Post Headstall Posted May 11, 2023 Popular Post Posted May 11, 2023 New mother had kittens right beside my garbage bins. I think she's finished now... I count three for sure but there could be four. I covered the area with plywood I leaned against the bins, and she didn't seem to mind. She will likely move them anyway, but she seems unconcerned... and tired. That makes seven or eight new kittens so far. 6
