Danish ryebread with Danish paté - see the pictures in the link. Similar to the picture Bucket posted (except that was chicken liver paté and we use pork). The slice of pickled beetroot is also common in Denmark.

We do pretty good paté in the rest of Scandinavia as well. The style varies a bit from country to country, but the Norwegian ones (aside from the cheap kid one that comes in a can) are pretty similar to the Danish. I actually tend to put lingonberry jam on mine, a trick we actually learned from a Danish family friend. She served us paté straight from the oven, on freshly baked bread, with lingonberry jam on top. So good!

It's been good so far. My son has gone to buy a car today, and I'm stressing a bit... he's good at negotiating, though.   I finally wrote another scene on my story... slowly but surely... I hope.

Nope. Not even a phone call from the landlord even though he's probably been advised the real estate agent called us and made a visit. 

But honestly that's the least of my problems after today. We dont know what the future hold - so far it's grey and not promising, if I'll even be able to financially afford to keep an apartment. At this point I'm even considering moving out and back at my parents and just make the drives every day back and forth. Sure it'd be a pain, tiresome and cost gas and car maintenance but half the time with my light schedule I'm at my parents anyway and at least I'll spent time with mom and take care of the house and stuff. Or I could keep an apartment (this one or another) but I'd have to get a job with a lot hours not a simple student job with a few hours here and there but I wouldn't be able to come see mom as often or even most of the time.

So yeah things are shitty today
