Yeah, I remember some of his shenanigans over the years. 

1. Raided his dad's liquor cabinet, at the suggestion of his boyfriend, Remi. My mother-in-law came home to find them passed out on the sofa, covered only by a blanket. They got grounded for that one, which they rightly deserved.

2. Went diving into the harbor at the Great Lakes Maritime Academy (A restricted area) and hit his head on some concrete debris at the bottom of the dredged area. Went to the hospital with a concussion and a brain bleed. He was lucky to survive that!

3. Went nude kayaking at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, to the amusement of some younger boys he was mentoring at the time.

4. Asked me if we could have a treehouse built in the backyard, after watching an episode of Treehouse Masters on TV. After I went running around to look at building permits, and made a few phone calls to the appropriate officials, Mickey tells me that he wasn't actually serious about it; he just wanted to see how far I'd go. I wasn't amused by his supposed "prank" and turned the tables on him. I had a treehouse commissioned from a local carpenter/contractor, then gave it to Mickey as a Christmas gift.

Today was my first day of Master and I love it! A girl I'm friend with is in my group so that's great. 

This morning was the general introduction to the upcoming 2 years, the organisation and all. Then this afternoon the teachers presented us the research seminars they're each proposing. So many interesting topics to work on! (psychology, conspiracy theories, sustainable development, didactic, robotique...). We have to select 3 and we'll be assigned to one. I've selected: children's literature, using game to teach mathematics and questioning the grading system and it's influence on children's self confidence and self estime. The seminar we'll choose will direct the research paper (like a little thesis) we will work on during those two years and then defend in front of a jury.

The only "downside" are the internships (3x2weeks) as we'll mostly be send at least 30 km away from the city amd at least one will be far away like 1 hour drive...
