There's definitely that element in many Japanese BLs.  Especially any school BLs that are based on mangas.  They do have the more mature variety, My Personal Weatherman, My Beautiful Man (though early parts of the first season might feel like it), Our Dining Table (this is one of my favorites of 2023,, in some ways it might be more up your alley Pagey).

Well Thai BLs play it slightly different... If anyone is ever remotely touched by rainwater, no matter how insignificant, they immediately have a debilitating fever the next day, which requires the standard  "wipe them down with a wet cloth" scene that Drew and I frequently reference.

Trust me, Spike, that is a real-life depiction of how Thais react to rain, showers, or swimming.  Aod is constantly nagging me to dry my hair more after showering, even though my hair dries faster than it takes to him to dry his using a hairdryer.   Songkran is the one time when everyone gets thoroughly drenched without immediately getting dry.

I think it's adorable that your husband likes Gundam models. 

My year could have started better. If only I didn't need to report to work at 10:00 a.m., after staying awake until 2:00 the night before. I've actually been considering a change in jobs, recently. Something more challenging than tossing salads, and ideally with better hours and pay.

Changes in life are inevitable and often very successful.  The only caveat is to expect and make the best of the unexpected results from the change.

I did not sleep last night so darn bad. I was awake from 2 am on and now its 410 am. I have had a bad cough off and on I could do with out the cough and I am so tried.

Maybe that's the standard on Eastern cultures. I'm watching a Korean one, and the first kiss also happened at the end of episode five. 

By 'standard', I mean any physical contact comes later on the show.

More like water cannons! The secret ingredient is ice!  Thais also use buckets and hoses, and in Petchabun, Aod's family home, a local temple uses a fire truck.
