I love these videos.  :D

Cookies already tend to have enough sodium from the salt in the recipe that folks on low sodium diets should be careful about eating too many. Adding additional salt makes them too high in sodium for my diet. Also, those extra steps are beyond the means of most at home bakers.

It's frigid here.  In the teens when I left work and supposed to rise into the twenties.  We had a bit of snow slick up the morning commute, but the sun's been intermittently showing itself.  It's supposed to reach 50 on Sunday :D

Going to be 85 this weekend...we are hitting the Strawberry Festival with our 3 new kids...

I take it you're referring to the pro chef who used Valrhona chocolate and smoked butter in her cookies? Yeah, that's not something I could do on a regular basis.

Thinking about that story makes me angry. I grew up in a rural area, so a few of my neighbors had horses. They're not toys to be played around with. They're wonderful, beautiful animals with thoughts and feelings like any other creature.

Growing up in a small city, a family had a palomino. Beautiful horse.

One of my best friends was this kid named Jesse, who lived maybe a mile down the road. His adoptive parents owned horses, and he was really sweet and gentle with them. I only ever saw him get angry once, when a boarder used a whip inappropriately. That person never returned, but my neighbors ended up keeping the horse because the owner said "they're too much work, anyways."  <_<

Once, I was trying to climb onto a horse. Guess I accidentally pulled his mane (sorry, horsie!), because he shook me off. Jesse caught me when I fell, and he had some pretty strong arms for a twelve-year-old.  :blushing:

It wasn't an accident, because you wanted to get into his arms...anything else happen with you and Jesse?

I admit to punching a horse in the mouth once... he was a spoiled three, or maybe four year old who was a vicious biter. The young girl who owned him was scared of him, and was told the only thing to do was ship him, which was breaking her heart.  She was a neighbor and they asked for my help... so I went there and waited for him to approach me... he was quick but I was quicker, and after that he never bit anyone again. At first, she and her mother were angry I did that (they even cried for Pete's sake), but they were killing him with kindness. They saw the light after that. I saved that horse's life. :)

Never knew you can punch a horse in the mouth...

No, nothing ever happened. Jesse is asexual.  :)

Once, when we were kids, we got caught in the rain and ended up cuddling under a blanket next to the fireplace, but we were wearing PJs. That's as far as it ever went.

Huh. I didn't know that about horses. Maybe he didn't like the smell of my deodorant, or something.

Maybe the horse wanted you to end up in the arms of Jesse...

Spoiler

Maybe the horse wanted you to fall into Jesse arms so you could write a storry on GA...

We're having bacon, broccoli, and cheese frittata for dinner. The crust is made from shredded hashbrown potatoes and pre-baked until it gets crispy.

We had Chicken and Waffles tonight. With steamed carrots...
