They disqualified the horse that crossed the finish line first after an inquiry because he impeded another horse going around the far turn.  I don't think it would have mattered, IMO, but apparently the stewards disagree.  It's the first time this has happened in Derby history O.O 

 

That outcome even made the front page of the Danish News, and they don't usually care about horse races or jumping unless there are Danish participants. :rolleyes:

What is Denmark's favorite sport, Tim? Is it Soccer (or what you call football, and you are more correct than us.)?

I guess it's football (Soccer) both for participation and watching. 

Top ten (2018) for participation is: football, gymnastics, swimming, golf, handball, badminton, horse riding, tennis, sailing and athletics.

Nice... Football or baseball is either #1. But auto racing is popular, as is ice hockey, basketball and laCrosse...

 

Do you mean team handball when you say handball? That is a cool sport...

Yep. It's popular because both our men's and women's international teams are really good. They've won several medals in European and World championships and Olympic games.

I like to watch baseball, but it's not played here.
