I’m greedy, I want it warm during the day and just a little cooler in the evenings - Spring all year round

North coast of California is nice one of Dennis employee just gave Dennis his two weeks. He grew up there and moved to Florida, now going back because he'll take the taxes over the heat...

I spent some time in Arizona and, while it's a beautiful state, I missed the greenery of the northeast and the change of seasons.

Dennis and I miss the Northeast, too, but next week we are flying to Bradley (Hartford CT/Springfield MA) and visit a few sights, especially railroad museums...and lakes...going to Steamtown in Scranton PA and Straugsburg PA...and a few amusement parks.

Mental note to self:

Chips means potato crisps in North America. What we call chips in Ireland and Britain are known as fries over there.

Quick change of subject:

I've just been reminded that, seven years ago yesterday evening, I was in Dublin for an open air concert featuring around three and a half hours of non-stop music and song by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

Interestingly, a few evenings earlier, Bruce had had his microphone turned off by the concert organisers in Hyde Park, London, when his concert went over a curfew that had been set by Westminster City Council. Perhaps more interesting is that the then Mayor of London, a certain Boris Johnson, was upset by the microphone having been turned off. He apparently said that they (Paul McCartney was on stage with Bruce at the time) should have been allowed to "Jam in the name of the Lord."

We call them food trucks...Hot dogs, burgers, tacos, Thai food, pizza...not only fries...

Boris Johnson? Who might be the new PM of the UK?

Not much. I did my shopping this morning. I had a long list... dog food, furnace filters, laundry soap, food... so, grocery store, pet food store, Canadian tire, and drug store. Now I'm chillaxing in the air conditioning. I'm worried about my horse but she seems fine. :)  Any plans for you?

It's "only" 26°C here but there's no real sun so it's heavy and feels like much hotter. A good thunderstorm would be good. I finally went to pick red currants with mom just now, over 4,590kg in less than an hour! Now to make jelly! :D

4,590 Kilograms? That's a lot of currants.

I'm sure your mare is fine.  Horses are pretty resilient.  Can you hose her down?

It feels like 44 here at the moment... I don't ever remember it feeling hotter. I can't stay out there for more than a couple of minutes. :(  I too hope everyone stays safe. Hey, B. :glomp:

Here it's currently 93/34° with heat index of 104/40°. We've some clouds helping to keep the temp down. There were concerns the the temp could reach 100/38° with heat index of 115/48° today and tomorrow.

Took Thistle to a nearby pet store that has a DIY dogwash for a bath. I towel dry him enough so he doesn't drip and then let him air dry. It helps him to feel cooler.

I've been careful not to let Cookie overheat. She runs and runs and runs...

Yeah, I've hosed her down twice so far. I put her in her stall for a while to get her out of the sun, but she sweated up right away... there is a good breeze down the aisle with both doors ends open, but it's a hot breeze. :(

No sweat marks this time. It has become hazy, and the breeze has picked up. Still disgustingly hot, though.

Do you mean the Strasburg Railroad and the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg, PA? That's only 10 miles from my house.

We walk early in the morning to avoid the hot sun. While the temperature was the same this morning (79/26°) as yesterday there was no fog. Far more comfortable, yesterday felt like being in a sauna. Thistle will run in the grass if it's damp with dew. It feels good and helps him cool off.

one lady said that her kids will be disappointed that they won't be at the beach that day because sexual perverts will be ruining the beach that day. Lady, the breasts are not a sexual object...it is used for breastfeeding babies...😠 🤬

Someone needs to slap that woman in the head with a shovel, maybe it will knock some sense into her. I feel sorry for her kids.

Hey, Xander, Dennis, Jordan, and Ash!          *waves to the foster kids*
