He contacted me earlier to arrange for a private kilting so that means he'll be swapping out the plaid boxers he's currently wearing for something more eye catching. Hey! It's my fantasy. Besides Marty will just try to shave him if I don't scoop him up. Edited July 31, 2019 by dughlas 8
dughlas Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Not as hot today 84/29° but still really humid so it feels like 89/31°. The forecast is for t-storms later. I'm hoping so, we could use some rain. I spent part of the morning watering all my potted plants. I have a 2-gallon watering can. I filled it 11 times. I have several large plants in pots. The five in the shade get a good soaking once a week. The other six get that good soaking plus a gallon or so each day when it's this hot and dry. 4 1

I don't think my disposable razor would be up to the job.... 9 hours ago, dughlas said: I knew you would want want rid of that beard. I read an article this morning small children are generally not fond if bearded men. They do however view them as strong. Apparently beards hide most facial expressions excepting those related to anger. Once children reach puberty their opinion changes and they view beards much more favorably. Perhaps there is still hope for you Marty. Although I prefer a guy with a clean shaven face, that doesn't mean that I am against a guy growing a beard. And I trust that you all realise that I am really only joking every time I complain about one of the guys Gary posts on here needing a shave. Truth be told, I had a beard for around thirty years or so. Here's a photo of me from around 1986:- (It's not a very good one, actually being a scan from my old driving licence.) And here's another one taken at a day long music festival that I attended back in 1998 (The Verve were headlining):- You'll see that, not only was my hair a good bit shorter in that one, but it had also lost most of it's natural colour. I decided to shave the beard off completely just before christmas 2000, and have been clean shaven ever since. I've let my hair grow long again this past 18 months or so. It's actually longer than it's ever been, and I now usually tie it back in a ponytail. (And there's no colour left in it at all. Completely white.) Edited July 31, 2019 by Marty Typos!!! 1 7 1

Only 3 days to tidy and clean bedroom (I'm a bit ashamed to admit currently you can just open the door and access the closest corner of the bed ) and find/wash/iron clothes, find hiking boots (shouldn't be too hard to find, last I remembered they still smell of cow shit for the last 8 or so years despite being wash multiple times!. We're going to my cousin's. She bought a 5 bedrooms house in the mountains near Grenoble. I've found a cool app for hiking with details of the trails, pictures, comments and it can act as a GPS. I've already marked a little hike around a circus with waterfalls. Sounds awesome, Tink... not the hiking boots... the trails. 3 4

If that's an app for your phone, just be sure (especially if any of the trails are remote or difficult to navigate) that the phone is fully charged before you set out. (P.s. What's a circus with waterfalls? ) 8

Alternative names for this landform are corrie (from Scottish Gaelic coire, meaning a pot or cauldron) and cwm (Welsh for "valley", pronounced [kʊm]). A cirque may also be a similarly shaped landform arising from fluvial erosion. 6 2
