Not as hot today 84/29° but still really humid so it feels like 89/31°. The forecast is for t-storms later. I'm hoping so, we could use some rain. I spent part of the morning watering all my potted plants. I have a 2-gallon watering can. I filled it 11 times. I have several large plants in pots. The five in the shade get a good soaking once a week. The other six get that good soaking plus a gallon or so each day when it's this hot and dry.

I read an article this morning small children are generally not fond if bearded men. They do however view them as strong. Apparently beards hide most facial expressions excepting those related to anger. Once children reach puberty their opinion changes and they view beards much more favorably. Perhaps there is still hope for you Marty.

Although I prefer a guy with a clean shaven face, that doesn't mean that I am against a guy growing a beard.

And I trust that you all realise that I am really only joking every time I complain about one of the guys Gary posts on here needing a shave.  

Truth be told, I had a beard for around thirty years or so.

Here's a photo of me from around 1986:-

(It's not a very good one, actually being a scan from my old driving licence.)

And here's another one taken at a day long music festival that I attended back in 1998 (The Verve were headlining):-

You'll see that, not only was my hair a good bit shorter in that one, but it had also lost most of it's natural colour.

I decided to shave the beard off completely just before christmas 2000, and have been clean shaven ever since.

I've let my hair grow long again this past 18 months or so. It's actually longer than it's ever been, and I now usually tie it back in a ponytail.

(And there's no colour left in it at all. Completely white.)

If that's an app for your phone, just be sure (especially if any of the trails are remote or difficult to navigate) that the phone is fully charged before you set out.

I made a flourless chocolate cake, once. It was so rich, so moist and fudgy.... *drools a little*   I need to find that recipe again.

It's 72 F/ 22 C outside today. The outside and inside temperature are the same: pleasantly cool.

Sounds awesome   What's a circus with waterfalls?  I think I'd be afraid to encounter any clowns while out hiking.   I'll keep the herd with mine so they're safe from any evil clowns you might encounter
