Didn't watch the video, or anyone's comments or even really the question past the title...

No, people aren't thinking for themselves, they get bite sized claims of info from TikTok, Insta, FB, Twitter(or the cesspool now called X), then they just believe it without ever checking for themselves.

Not sure what happened, but about two months my X feed went from porn clips, cat vids, and weird history to vids showing people getting murdered, fighting, stabbing, people screaming at random workers throughout our hospitality field and bogus claims about aliens, flat earth, and conspiracy theories.

That tells me the algorithms are pushing those types of vids because that is what the majority of people are interacting with.

I deleted my FB, X, Insta, and TIkTok just because I couldn't handle all the bullshit on my feeds. I really don't need to see someone getting murdered, like I could go the rest of my life without seeing another person in Brazil getting robbed and then passerby come out guns blazing. It's disturbing that humans are consuming this type of media.

The amount of just plain lies that are everywhere, from all sides, is making finding the truth harder and harder. And the average twenty year old frankly is too stupid to think for themselves, research, or employ critical thinking. Everything is reactionary, outrage before fact checking. The only true thing anymore is the rich get richer and the poor remain stupid.
