Trebs Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 And it's good... though... Argh - what a cliffhanger
dkstories Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Wow, you're first (although you need to change your age here on the board...it's not correct any more) - see told you I would get you back for waking me up that morning and demanding chapter 15 immediately.
dkstories Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Have you noticed yet that the silence is deafening and only my narcissistic partner has posted yet? Shh! Be wery, wery quiet, we are hunting wabbits with Dick Cheney!
C James Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Bitch... Trebs, my congratulations on your 39th birthday! That's one heck of an accomplishment coming so soon after your 41st birthday! Hmmm... Time for me to start dusting off my "time machine" theories, I see! Have you noticed yet that the silence is deafening and only my narcissistic partner has posted yet?Shh! Be wery, wery quiet, we are hunting wabbits with Dick Cheney! I think it's the unexpected posting day! Caught us all off-guard! And if you are hunting with Cheney, may I suggest armor-plated long-johns and perhaps buying him a present? (a book on gun safety). And above all, DUCK! But, this chapter has moved me to do something I very rarely do: post. OK, I officially do not like Billy's betrothed! He also does not seem to be exactly twitterpated! I'm going to go way out on a limb here and predict that, in the end, Billy and Garret will be together. Either the marriage will wall through and never occur, or she dies. Hmmm, House Atrix looks like it has a new home, and one in an interesting strategic nexus: Between the Republic and the Empire. But the really big question, what does Tremere want??? What an eeeeeevil cliffie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARGH!
old bob Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 (edited) Have you noticed yet that the silence is deafening and only my narcissistic partner has posted yet?Shh! Be wery, wery quiet, we are hunting wabbits with Dick Cheney! Hey DK and all the readers of DOH. Nice surprise fo find a chapter in the middle of the week I'm "overtaken". My poor knowledge is no more enough to follow all the posts What is a wabbit ? Old Bob Edited September 14, 2006 by old bob
old bob Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Hi DK Once again it was a pleasure to read chapter 14 Your skill to bring a lot of developments in few words and to introduce your own(I suppose it !) opinions about the ways and thoughts of present religious factions in the story is amazing I like in particular the unforseen rebounding and the opening of new pathes you have the talent to present. I tried to find some critics (positive only!) but really I have none to note ! expecting the next chapters soon, I remain, your Old Bob
NaperVic Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Have you noticed yet that the silence is deafening and only my narcissistic partner has posted yet?Shh! Be wery, wery quiet, we are hunting wabbits with Dick Cheney! I only reply to DoH threads on Fridays You really threw us off with the TWO EXTRA chapters this week (but threw us off in a Good way ) I'm getting VERY leery of Billy's fiance. What's she up to? I don't like her at all Take Care, Vic
EMoe57 Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 it gets worse What is a wabbit ? The term, "wabbit" is from the Bugs Bunny cartoon where Elmer Fudd goes rabbit hunting but because of his list, it comes out a "W" instead of an "R"
dkstories Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 it gets worseThe term, "wabbit" is from the Bugs Bunny cartoon where Elmer Fudd goes rabbit hunting but because of his list lisp , it comes out a "W" instead of an "R" Sorry, Emoe, I just had to do it! (for those wondering what I did, when I get edited chapters back, they look like the 'list' and 'lisp' above. The bad thing about releasing chapters so close to one another...it allows less time for people to digest them and really start to wonder...
C James Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 The bad thing about releasing chapters so close to one another...it allows less time for people to digest them and really start to wonder... I know I'm really wondering about Tremere, and WHY he wants to meet with Garret! I highly doubt it's a friendly social call! Blackmail would be my guess.
EMoe57 Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Sorry, Emoe, I just had to do it! (for those wondering what I did, when I get edited chapters back, they look like the 'list' and 'lisp' above. GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was fine until I rearranged the sentence and then the typo slipped in - just goes to show: editing your own stuff is the hardest of all!
C James Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was fine until I rearranged the sentence and then the typo slipped in - just goes to show: editing your own stuff is the hardest of all! But editing Emoe (and editor-teasing) is the funnest of all!!!
EMoe57 Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Hey CJ! Are the scavenger hunters suppose to track down every one of your posts, collect the third word in each, then make the resulting hodgepodge into a rational post? Now there's a daunting task but it would be the typical length of your average post!
C James Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Hey CJ! Are the scavenger hunters suppose to track down every one of your posts, collect the third word in each, then make the resulting hodgepodge into a rational post? Now there's a daunting task but it would be the typical length of your average post! Humph! Have I just been called long-winded? Emoe, Emoe, Emoe... I'll have you know that I'm not long-winded! Why, I could go on and on and on and on and on telling you hundreds and hundreds of reasons why I'm not long winded! In fact, somewhere around here I have a 40 page diatribe that I wrote, explaining in detail why I am not long winded! I can't really imagine why anyone, anywhere would think I'm long winded? It boggles the mind, it's beyond comprehension! I can even point to hundreds and hundreds of my posts where I say, quite clearly (and even concisely!) that I am just a quiet and shy lurker, which Is why I so rarely post... But me? Long winded? Who could possibly think such a thing? It's unbelievable! It's incomprehensible! Surely you cannot believe it? I'm quite sure that I've never given anyone any reason whatsoever to even think I could possibly ever be long winded. Must I send you my 40 page diatribe that details the many reasons that I am not long-winded? I mean, heck, I hardly ever have a word to say about anything! How could I possible be long-winded? It's just not even within the realm of possibility!!! I have been slandered! Libeled even! I'm just flabbergasted! I cannot possibly conceive of any reason whatsoever that anyone could even suspect me of being long-winded?
EMoe57 Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 Your verbosity and post count speaks for itself.
C James Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 (edited) Your verbosity and post count speaks for itself. Emoe, does this mean I have to send you that 40 page diatribe that I wrote to explain, in excruciating detail, why I am not long-winded? As for a high post count indicating long-windedness, my oh my, Emoe, what a horrible thing to imply about Dan, who was the first after Myr to hit 1000 posts, and long the second-highest poster on GA (after Myr), though he was recently passed by Kitty and AFreindlyFace. (every word in this paragraph is absolutely true!) Edited September 17, 2006 by C James
EMoe57 Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Oh CJ, you are the silliest poster I know... Thanks for the laughs, E
