I'm not kidding. As I re-read all these poems, I can't but go back to the concept of unrequited love. Maybe that has something to do with my low mood these days.
But that's the beauty of poems. The same words can influence people in different ways.
Yeah, I prolly haven't said it, but I love your poems.
"Not" is such an interesting word, is it not?
I just re-read this. I'm still in love with the first part.
My mind keep returning to the concept of unrequited love. Dunno why.
It's really nice. I'm always partial to rhyming lines.
In the cold of the night... I think it's a very cool scene, with cool meaning brilliant and cold. And I love the repeat of the scene.
Wow~~! So short yet so powerful!
I love the emotional struggle as well as the physical one of John, and the memories flashing back. It was so vivid.
And then, after John was somewhat on shore and the bird called in the distance, I was like, this is the perfect sound for a exhausted disappointed man who is in love yet isn't able to see his lover.
Just WWOWOWW~! A superbly wonderful story! Thank you!
(Also, just so you know, you should ask a mod to change this story's category back to 2011 Fall Anthology. )
Re-reviewing
Wow~ Simply wow~! Absolutely love the story. Knew early on about the ending
but still enjoyed the whole process of getting there.Felt all the pain
towards the end. Good sign that I loved story and feel connected with the
characters.Just wish the ending could've been longer.
I'm re-reviewing.
What more can I say that you haven't
already know. I love the story and it's fabulous. The only minor regret is that
it isn't longer; but then if it's longer I'll have to wait a bit longer...
O well, since you decided, should a congrats be in tow? <div><br></div><div>Anyways, you know i'm not good with words, so i'm giving you a light </div>
I love the story. I read it a year ago, i think, and i reread it just now. I love Mick and Jake!
Also, I wish Aaron would end up with Mick, but i know how love works. but i just don't like Ben.
Also, just so you know, i've been waiting for the sequel for a long time,
Call me weird but mine is a story named Dog Food by Jfalkon, in the Summer Antho of 2008.
The antho's I've read these couple of years are really good too, but if I had to think of one on the spot I'd still pick Dog Food.
It probs has something to do with the fact that it was one of the antho stories I read and Jfalkon is not an active member.
I actually agree with Dannsar, but then, I came here to find the exact type of story Dann talked about. To escape, like others said.
But then that's also why I write. I'm going to shamelessly plug my stories here because they are a bit different. A lot different recently if I may say. I try to explore and experiment a bit.
: P Prolly that's why people don't love them. Anyway, I'm a review whore. :P
Sure it took some time finishing it.
Your story is compelling as always! Wasn't a long read considering the length and my desire to read on.
Now I can only read the previous and wait for the next installments. Wonder when would that be..
Hope sooner than later.
I suppose it has something to do with Fallen Ilaria?
Definitely, because I see the same wildly and perfectly created world. I really like the creatures created!
