  1. Her character was based on Molly Brown ( called the unsinkable molly brown after she survived another ship wreck) and a more Tonto-esque chracter i cannot imagine!

    Long Shot

My knowledge of hockey is limited to say the least so i have no idea if there is such a team or if it has an out gay team captain, but the story is all real enough to make it all sound perfectly legit! Keep on writing , i am intrigued

    Chapter 2

great depiction of a truly amazing dilemma. pedophilia is one of those hideous things that, IMHO most people simply cannot conceive of doing. while most of us can imagine being driven to murder someone, or even torture, but what is being described in your stories is hideous. That you make the story readable despite this amazing. I sincerely hope that there will be some in this story who come to a very sad end...
  4. Just found your stories. The confusion and self doubt of adolescence! Added to the grief of losing a first lust; Well captured.

    Chapter 3

Great story, definately worth pursuing. I agree with the cooment that longer chapters tend to help build a more memorable story. But nevetheless, congrats on getting it on line, something I have never been brave enough to do!

    Chapter 42

Truly wondeful Christmas gift. While our hero did handle the clumsy and inept Dundas very well, i am concerned about Grainger and Caroline's relationship; she is a asset at the very least and could be a sound councillor if he could only get over his silly misplaced pride. In treating her the way he does he is only damaging himself.

    Chapter 4: The View

Enjoying this very much. I love the intricacies of village life. I have lived in small towns and while not as perverse or entertaining as st george, certainly there were similarities!
  10. What a great start! Brilliant intro to a story. Lots of detail, lots of hints, all in a similar direction, but not yet obvious what is info and what are frighteners.....

    Chapter 37

Looks like Granger is well on his way to winning over macclesfield. Another reason for Berry to dislike Granger. Itis a wondeful feeling to annoy people because you do the right thing!
  13. I cant belive that the Black Widow herself wont have a plan B (and C and D for that matter). She hasntbeen is this game for as long as she h as without learning to take care of all contingencies. So now we have three "combatants" for want of a better word. the graingers; financialy probably the weakest but huge amount of societal clout and probably political as well. JP and Stef (and family); finacially the strongest, but consistent unity has never been a strong point. Also quite a few skeletons that can be produced for neferious effect The Black Widow herself. Main strength - a sense of purpose that could only be described as singular: revenge. Also she has manipulatable "plants" in both other families that she can work to her advantage seemingly at will. All in all it looks like the scene is set for a wonderful read!

Great build up to what must be ratedas the key chapter - not that it is all about which team wins but the fall out on each of the plyers their families and friends. Grea t story. Thanks

    You're Missing

Playing catch up with this story. I enjoy cj preciousness and his very perfect dads, however i do have misgivings about the treatment of the two police officers. While not condoning what they did for a second, i am not sure destroying two mens lives and that of any families they may have is an appropriate or fair punishment. Showing them the error of their ways, getting them to workwith glbti youth, working with them to improve the reward system for arrests within the police force would have actually improved people and systems so that these incidents do not occur. As it is, the polce force has wasted a lot of money getting rid of two trained officers, no one has learned any lessons and there are a few bitter and twisted people in and out of the force. Obviously this is a story and not the bible on how to rectify the ills of society, but all too often recently what is see n as the solution is what is quick and not what is right. The solution that cj produced is exactly what id expect a teenager to come up with. It is not one i thought a successful more mature marine and his business man partner would have agreed to. Welll that was some rant! Perhaps it was because i have only had one coffee this a.m.? I am enjoying the read, despite the rant. That said , if any child of mine said "prolly" they'd get a quick and sharp lesson in english! Thanks and regards

    Chapter 36

Wondeful chapter. More questions re daventry's attitudes, more evidence of our boys mastery of the unexpected, more evidence of his political acumen. And the added bonus of a classical / roman haircut. What more could a reayder ask for? Except, of course, the next installment!

    Cadet Cruise

These shorts are excellent; enough detail to let the imagination fill the gaps. Great writing. Thanks
  19. Slightly of topic, but in the general spirit of our mate Granger. yesterday i visited the Rock of Gibraltar. Obviously there were not many square rigged ships in harbour, but the hussle around the port, the rock's complete command of the straits and the magnificence of the view made me think of granders several visits. It is not an easy place to get around (actually, its a nightmare) but it certainly brought home how important a place it was for GBs navy based empire.
  20. Actually, i think it is the reverse; while english is very difficult to get "right", the language can be mangled quite badly and it is still comprehendable. Compare this to french, spanish or chinese and some very small errors will result in complete confusion. One qualifier; while the english, australian, south africans and new zealanders can translate broken english quite well, americans and some canadians really struggle. I would really like someone to 1) verify this and then 2) explain it.

    Chapter 1

What a magnificent chapter. Wonderfully written in a way that not only does the author know every character but in some was isevery character. beautifully crafted, and subpebly rolled out. An utter joy to read.
  22. Mark just wondering if you have aplan for our friend George? I do hang out for his next installment, selfish of me, yes, but when one has developed an attachment, it is so hard to let go!

    Chapter 29

banter, drama, intrigue, funished off with sex. I so love grainger, may he come more often, in every sense.

    Chapter 43

Congrats. What a great episode to return on. Wedding sounds unusual, i would have thought both the wedding and reception would be at Alex's home. But the Savoy will do! While i know nothing about American football (apart from those arse hugging trousers they wear) you do manage to write about itin a wat that its exciting even if i have the faintest about where players are and the expectations of the play. Welcome back: you have been missed
