  1. **gasps in shock** Oh my gosh, Vic! I've read that before, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't on GA Freaky! (or maybe just a converging of interests ) Take care all and have a great day Kevin
  2. I loved it! Awesome job, Tiff! I can't really add much to what's already been said, but I have to say it was very well done! -Kevin
  3. It is very regional (as I understand), but I would most definitely have known what you were talking about and may possibly have used the term myself if for someone reason I was trying to come up with synonyms for a sub. Hmm, Jelly and Jam are two distinct entities here (though similar) and neither is "jello" (which is much different from the other two). Oh well just call it the remote control here too, I was just saying it's a silly name for it in general. LOL
  4. Well said, Jamie! On the other hand, it's my personal suspicion that most of those things are correlated together. It's been my finding that while there are certainly a lot of dim, or only averagely intelligent gay people, there's a higher than expected number of very sharp ones. Similarly, I think being very intelligent, and gay for that matter both correlate with being creative and empathetic (which themselves probably correlate). Hehe, not to brag, but all those things you mentioned would actually also apply to me, and I suspect more than a couple of other individuals around here as well. (On the other hand being a gay, LITERARY community, we're probably also asking for a high representation of those qualities) Anyway, I certainly think you're nifty and unique, and quite honestly not being 'normal' or 'average' is one of the most appealing things to me as well, but I do think there's some cross-over effect. Good points though, as I said, I fully agree with them -Kevin
  5. Just don't go so far as lighting up the fireplace and drinking hot coco...this time of year you might give yourself heat stroke
  6. Splendid story, Tris! I really enjoyed it! During the part where Jack was taking care of Don after the break up, I got a good laugh when I read this:
  7. Well humour is one of the most powerful and well-ingrained defense mechanisms. I meant to quote him but I forgot. In any case I think Graeme summed things up best. I will say that for my part I was surprised at how little focus Richard Jr. got in comparison to Kate. Was the daughter the favourite child? Was there a particular reason? Or am I simply reading too much into this, lol? Anyway, nice job, Tim -Kevin
  8. Interesting story, Gabe! Thanks ...to me it seemed somewhat allegorical to homosexuality and perhaps the way GLBT people are viewed by straights? I'll be interested to see what more comes of it. -Kevin
  9. "why do you love me" - Garbage
  10. Thanks for the info, Nick
  11. We're glad too Hope it was a good day
  12. Well done, Graeme! I loved it! New Brother is one of my favourite stories, but as is the case with almost all books or movies, over time I've forgotten many of the details, including how Craig fit into it. I shall have to go back and have a look. Great job! Kevin
  13. YAY for Libby's birthday!! I hope you have a fantastic day and an incredible year! Kevin
  14. Wow Jamie, this was really awesome! Very powerful and very moving! The grave scenes especially were wonderful and evocative. Great job! Kevin
  15. Just a bit worn out and kinda stressed. I feel like I've been really ignoring all my friends and family for the past week or so. Haven't intentionally meant to, but the busier I get the more I just want to be by myself when I'm not busy. So basically it comes down to less time in general AND less desire to be with people. Anyway, as a result I feel like I have some serious catching up to do with people. Speaking of which I'm meeting Ryan for lunch today. Now is such a phenomenally bad time to be seeing anyone. I feel like I'm totally just stringing him along. I hate being busy. I mean I really do. Some people are always complaining about being bored. I'm never bored. I can't remember the last time I was bored when I wasn't stuck some where I didn't want to be. I mean of course I've been bored in traffic, or at work or something, but never on my own. Point is my 'ideal time' is always extremely enjoyable to me, and I hate it when all my time is planned out. Anyway, I'm going to take a brief nap, looks like today's going to be another busy one. Take care all, Kevin
  16. She's Recovering nicely by the sound of it
  17. LOL I have had a Philly Cheesesteak before...never in Philly mind you, so I guess it could be a bit different there, but they weren't really my thing. Choking on them seemed even less appealing
  18. Not to disappoint you but for the sequel it'll be considerably longer than 6 days. I probably shouldn't have said anything, but I recently finished up a Ronnie/Aaron scene that I rather liked, so it was on my mind.
  19. A very good observation! Hehehe, you should see what Ronnie has in store for him in the sequel! Thanks, Gabe! hehe, well don't tell anyone, but I'm actually trying to release the chapters about 6 days apart while promising 7 in case anything goes wrong
  20. Thanks! Yeah, now that I think about it I guess perhaps I should have. In all honesty it was probably lazy writing and a foolish oversight with regards to the potential it held as a brief sub-plot. Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed it, Zilar! Thanks -Kevin
  21. Awwww Well I certainly hope it does work!
  22. Chapter 3: Make Over Madness is now out! Click here to read it. I hope you guys like it! Of the three thus far it's probably my favourite
  23. I would like to point out though that we don't actually know what Dimitri's plan is. As Gary indicated perhaps he only means for it to get him close to the house without arousing suspicion. He might not be intending to walk right up to Helen and the guys and introduce himself as their security officer.
  24. Good points, Kit! Thanks As I recall that didn't earn him many points with the monarch.
  25. Don't worry Zilar; I've already committed mine to memory so I'll send you my copy
