I think he's so nervous and shy with Erin b/c he really likes him and he knows that the situation is completely different than it was with Jeremy. He knows there really could be something between him and Erin and that might may him more nervous and insecure. Great chapter, Sasha!

That was the sweetest "I don't love you, but..." I've ever read! Adam is a gem and I don't think anyone could have said it better. I mean, he was put on the spot and he just went with his feelings. And who knows, maybe Mikeal isn't "in love", maybe he's just "in like" a lot, or is infatuated with Adam. Maybe they can fall in love together. I just thought Scott left b/c he couldn't handle things anymore. Just like when he took off after Steve was killed. Maybe he chose to stay close b/c he was hoping one day he'd be able to come back to Noah? Maybe he was keeping an eye on Noah and Zach, making sure they were ok? I don't know. Maybe he was too deep into his depression to even THINK about Noah and Zach. It was a real shitty thing that he did. I understand he was depressed and he has had issues with depression in the past, but to just up and leave your husband and son is incomprehensible. Especially when they need you as much as you need them at a time like this. How selfish is that? He's been gone for months, with no communication whatsoever with his husband or son. That's unforgivable. I do think Noah should have confronted him. Not right away, but at least a few weeks after he left. This was a very well-written chapter, Fitz, as all your chapters are. Truly heartbreaking. it just makes me more anxious to read the next installment.

I agree with everyone: Derek is an asshole if he thinks he can just waltz back into Noah's life and order him around. Noah can be with whoever he wants to be with; Derek has no say in the matter. What a pompous ass. And now he wants to pay Eli off? What, is Derek jealous? And how did he even know where Eli worked? Omg, is the Buckle a bar that Derek goes to and he recognized Eli from there? lol I just have two complaints, Rob: 1. the chapters are way too short (I know they have to be, but I'm still complaining, lol), and 2. you don't update enough! Once a week is seven days too long. How about once a day? That'll work. Great chapter, Rob! I'm waiting not-so-patiently for the next one.

I was sitting there with my mouth gaping open while reading this. Percy was right - this read like a Three Stooges movie. I started cracking up when Robert ran to the window and chucked the pan out, then I continued laughing until the end. Holy shit, KC, this wasn't funny at all, but the way you described it, I couldn't help but laugh. As one who also lived through a kitchen fire (I was in middle school and my father set it WITH HIS F-ING CIGARETTE, as it somehow landed in the exhaust fan, don't ask me how. Both my parents suffered second degree burns and to this day, matches, and any type of fire, just makes me nervous. But...yours does take the cake, KC, no offense intended. lol I'm glad you guys can laugh about it now, but holy shit, you two are lucky to be alive! And I bet that fire just blew right through your security deposit!

Gunni is in safe hands with Dmitri. I've liked Dmitri since we were introduced to him. Even though he's a man-whore, he's kind, gentle, generous, and loving. I knew he wouldn't hurt a fly on Gunni's head. But don't get me wrong - I also love the man-whore in him! lol I love the way he just unabashedly flirts with Gunni's cousin w/o a care in the world.

What a beautiful chapter, Cole. It's true that Danny and Brian's friends and family pushed Danny too hard. He wasn't ready to say goodbye. Who would be? He needed to find that time his own way, in his own time. Even though he's not really "ready" to say goodbye, he knows he has to and it's better for Brian and everyone else if he lets him go so Brian can rest in peace. I didn't really agree with the whole 'waiting until the day after Christmas' thing. What's the difference? Every year at that time family and friends will be reminded of when Brian died. (well, came off the machines) It doesn't matter if it was Dec. 25th, or the 26th, or earlier or a little later. If Danny couldn't do it before November, he should have waited until some time in January. From Thanksgiving until the new year, that's all anyone will think about: the anniversary of Brian's death. That's just my opinion. Maybe I'm just being overly morbid. Oh, I did have a question, or observation really, and please don't yell at me for being such a nitpick. If the accident happened eight months ago December, back on August 1st when the intervention happened, it had only been five months. Which would put eight months in November, not December. Sorry, I know I focus on the weirdest shit probably no one else would have noticed.

I remembered the saying I was trying to think of earlier! Andy and Matt dodged a bullet with the 'rents! Things certainly could have been worse. They're lucky their parents stopped with the questions when they did. Although Matt will always feel guilty for lying to everyone. I feel really badly for Andy though. Of course he knows his parents love him (they don't beat him, they feed him, clothe him...), but it's sad to think that his folks don't show him the love and affection every child needs. When my kids were little and I used to help out in the school, there was this poster in one of the classrooms that showed a picture of a mother and her child with a saying that read: "Have you hugged your child today?" Every child needs that physical show of love that means, 'you matter, you're important to me', you know? Andy's parents are caring and they never seemed like 'bad' parents to me, but it's sad that they don't show their love for their son by hugging or kissing. Now it's obvious that the emptiness Andy always feels is due to the lack of physical affection from his parents. He tries to fill that void with sex, thinking sex and love are the same. They're not, of course, as he's finding out. When he's having sex, he feels that connection to the other person (well, Matt mainly), but once it's over, he feels empty again. Even though he knows Matt loves him, that's not the kind of love he needs right now. He needs the love of his parents; he needs to know how much they love him and they need to show it. Hopefully now that his father made the first move, their lines of communication will continue to be open and they can show each other the affection I think they all need. (including his mom)

What a sad story Cayden told. He only had a Christmas boyfriend. I liked how Danny and Brian met; the story was really cute. I think Cayden offering to be there for Danny on Christmas Day was really sweet. I know it would be horrible (emotionally), being with Brian's parents, but I sort of think that's the right thing to do. Another great chapter, Cole!

"Ice Keam!" I LOVE the way you write Maxie! What a sad thing to happen to Trevor's youngest child. I can't believe his older children; they are so selfish. This is a little boy who didn't ask for the parents he has; it's not his fault things didn't work out between his father's first wife. Those older kids are very immature. I'm thrilled though, that he's not fighting for custody. =) Now, on to Spin - I'm flabbergasted one of the "perfect" people could have done this crime! Why don't keyboards come with a sarcastic key? lol I hope their plan works to get Carter to confess. Awesome chapter, Andrew! Oh yeah, and Brandon and Erik...isn't Brandon only thirteen? How old is Erik? I thought he was fifteen...

I'll miss these guys - especially Dan and his ever-entertaining stream of consciousness. lol I'm glad he's growing up and learning to experience new things. (even if it cost him an A instead of an A+) I'm looking forward to the epilogue, Circle.

I guess Erin just panicked and figured it was as good a time as any to come out. I didn't like how Coach was being with Luke. It sucks the way there are double standards with everything. It was ok for Derrick and Cherrie to do stuff in the locker room, but if Luke and Erin were caught, all hell would break loose.

I absolutely LOVED this story! I was really laughing when the two older couples had to rush to the ER. Man, that was funny! I mean it wasn't funny, but they deserved that! I think they need a little foursome to spice up their marriages. lol Thank God Kristie and Grady came through for them!

Jiminy Cricket, I'm all over the road. lol Love that song. And Meatloaf too. Hm, weird mix. Anyway...absolutely adored this story, Sasha! I loved how Axel (keep thinking of GnR's Axl), was always so sweet and innocent and totally took hold of Blake's heart. It's such a shame what happened with that asshole Brad. After everything Axel did for him, he's such a shit. Axel deserves way better than him for a friend, never mind a best friend. Blake's afraid of getting hurt in the long run, but hey, aren't we all? You can't find happiness if you don't take risks. At least that's what I hear when I'm all over the road. lol Ok, sorry, couldn't resist. I wish you could keep writing this; I'd love to read more about Axel and Blake and their happily-ever-after.

I find the whole gender identity issue fascinating. There's a story on here that I'm editing and it deals with a girl who feels she was supposed to be a boy, she wants to be a boy. I am learning a lot from that story. I loved Nathan's thoughts that why can't people just fall in love with people? We shouldn't care about gender. As Melissa Etheridge once said, many, many years ago on Arsenio Hall, (I'm paraphrasing here), "Love is love. What difference does gender matter? It's hard enough to find love, who cares what gender the person is?" Ok, so I might REALLY been paraphrasing, it was a long time ago, but you get the idea. Love is love. Who cares who anyone falls in love with. Great story, Thorn! Oh, and wasn't Samantha Ewing a character on "Dallas"? lol

What a shit Derek is! Now where is Noah supposed to go? He can't afford a fancy condo like Derek can. I'm all for Ozy's suggestion: Noah should sue Derek for some kind of financial restitution.
