Chapter 4- Taking Our Places
Lisa commented on bashfulpie's story chapter in Chapter 4- Taking Our Places
I really liked this chapter. The guys are all getting comfortable with what's expected of them and I can really picture myself at the carnival. You are very descriptive and when I'm reading the chapter I feel like I'm right there observing everything. Scott's pretty observant; noticing that only John and Peter weren't clamoring to hear what Missy was talking about. lol And hey, as long as you don't have Missy sipping on sweet tea, I can hear the song fading away. =) And I'm laughing, b/c I'm sure you don't know which song I'm talking about. But another awesome chapter bashful and as I said in my last review, I LOVE the quick updates! -
Chapter 3 - Taking the Plunge
Lisa commented on bashfulpie's story chapter in Chapter 3 - Taking the Plunge
I LOVE this story! And I LOVE the fact that you update so quickly! I like how all the guys were taunting each other and basically all getting along. I look forward to the next chapter when the carnival really starts. Oh, I noticed one typo: navel is navEl, you spelled it navAl, like a Naval Academy. =) -
I wanna know what's in the email files. lol I can't imagine sleeping on a hammock every single day would be comfortable. But I can imagine Jace doing it. Great chapter dariyo!

I agree w/joann; Lily is a little spitfire that no one should mess with! lol I like Joshua a lot. How much older is he than Alexi? He's gotta be in his thirties, right, since he's a professor? I'm looking foward to the dinner party. I wonder if Adrian's going to be jealous of someone actually giving Alexi attention. I'm sure Joshua will be jealous of ANYONE giving Alexi attention. lol

Well I'm glad to read that Patrick did have a life after Ben. =) His friends are terrific! He is so lucky to have such loving and supportive friends, including Grant. He sounds wonderful; Alec is a lucky guy. Grant is also smart; I agree; the ball is in Patrick's court. We'll see what he does with it at the party. I loved the scene where Patrick, Alec and Jake were fooling around and Jake's dad wound up hosing Patrick. That was really funny! It's good that they can kick back and act like kids again. You did a great job telling us a little about all their pasts. I'm glad Patrick wasn't sitting home alone, bitter over lost opportunities and reliving old memories for the past twenty years. It's true, you can pine over someone for that long but still live a full life. You just never forget that person and you know if you have the opportunity again, you should take it and run with it. I guess that's what I would tell Patrick: go for it and if you guys connect again on that level, don't let Ben get away a second time. You certainly don't want to be hung up on him for another twenty years. I'm looking foward to reading about Darrin's party. =)

It's always the way; you try to forget someone by being with someone else, but then you see the other person and they show just an inkling of interest and suddenly the person you're with isn't good enough anymore. So sad in this case b/c I really, really like Lee. And I can see him really getting hurt b/c I don't see Corbin giving up on Peter. Especially when he still doesn't know where Peter stands. It's hard to give up on someone you're infatuated with so easily. And every time Peter throws Corbin a bone, Lee's gonna take one step back until he's totally out of the picture. And I really, really like Lee. But then, they've only been on campus for two days. And Lee does have four years there after all. They'll be plenty of guys all over him once the semester gets under way. Hey, does he even know that Corbin was kinda using him for rushing? I mean, I know Corbin was using him to forget about Pete (and we see how well THAT worked out) but Lee doesn't know that. And I hope he never finds out. Did I mention that I really, really like Lee? =) Ok Jon, anxiously waiting till next week. Can't wait to read about the rage. (is that what it was called?) Let's see them get even more wasted! lol I can't imagine that they do this on a Sunday night and they're still able to get up for classes the next day. I guess I must have done it too, I just can't remember. lol
-
Well that date went well. lol At least Dillon and Allison got along. Vickie's a killjoy. She should just be happy Mark went out with her and just sucked up what she didn't like. I'm wondering why people think Mark needs a girlfriend. Why do they care?
-
The whole exchange with Chuck and Joe had me cracking up! Good to see these boys have such different personalities. =) Interesting that John has prior experience being dunked. He seems the shyest of the group. Awesome second chapter! Looking forward to the next one when the carnival finally opens.

Yes, Adrian's a cutie and it's obvious that he's been avoiding Alexi b/c of what Lily said. I do like though, that he's trying to be a better person and make up for what he did to Alexi. But.....what the hell just happened at the end? Who attacked Alexi? Why? Does this guy know who he is? Did Alexi faint or was given chloroform? All these questions! Inquiring minds want to know, or at least mine does. Hope you update soon!

Chapter 17 High Rock - Part 1
Lisa commented on Enoch's story chapter in Chapter 17 High Rock - Part 1
Billy!!!! What're you doing to me???????? Omg, you better not kill off Joey!! Holy shit! What a cliffhanger! Damn, now all my other comments I was gonna make are totally irrelevant. lol Please don't take over two months to post the next chapter; I need to know NOW what's gonna happen to Joey!!!! -
'Blue eyes, auburn hair, sittin' lookin' pretty by the fire in a lawn chair. New to town, and new to me...." jeez now I got that song on a loop in my head. =) Love this new story. I can see all the pledges now in their used Speedos being dunked. lol Looking forward to the next chapter.

I'm so glad Gibby is happy with Scott. I'm sad to see that Shelby never sort of moved on from her brother's death. I don't want to say 'got over' his death b/c I'm sure that's something you can never truly get over. But I agree w/Sogbarn that it's sad that Shelby spent so much time (even if it wasn't ten years, she still was thinking about it) finding Amanda. Will her words to Amanda help her (Shelby) come to terms with what happened and finally try to move on? I'd like to see her work through all her anger so she doesn't carry it with her for the rest of her life. But who am I kidding? If it were me, it probably wouldn't matter how many years passed, I would still want revenge. But it was certainly a shocker KC to find out that Amanda is still alive. And miserable in a useless body. What a horrible existence. Gives her plenty of time to think about all the things she did wrong. All the lives she destroyed. I'm glad you didn't kill her off. lol As I said in the last review, I'm glad Gibby found closure with his mom. Still wondering though if he remembered the love he shared with Tanner. I think that would have made it especially hard to let go and move on. But I'm glad he found love and Scott redeemed himself. This was a wonderful story KC and as I said, I will definitely miss the characters. Each chapter was better than the last and kept me wondering how will he ever top this? How will he explain that? What's gonna happen next? I look forward to reading your new story. You are an extremely talented writer KC.

Holy shit, what a chapter! Thank God I was home reading this, otherwise I would have had to stop. Maybe it's me, but I was crying almost from the get-go. lol But when Tanner was saying goodbye to Gibby, that really sent me into orbit. =) I waited and waited and waited to read this because truthfully, I wasn't ready to let these boys go. But the suspense was killing me and I finally gave in. What an emotionally-packed chapter. I gotta hand it to you KC, I didn't expect all the violence, but then again, I should have expected it since we all know Amanda was like a time bomb waiting to go off. I sorta agree with the reviews above how she got off easy with death and didn't have to suffer the consequences of her actions. I was really upset though when Ethan and Mike died. Yes, they were guilty, not like Amanda mind you, and I also agree with the reader above who would have given them a second chance. I love the way you tied up the whole backstory with Gibby's mom. I'm glad he now has good feelings when he thinks about her. I wonder though if when he wakes up he'll even remember loving Ghost Boy Tanner? Or will those specific memories be wiped out so he can live a full life and find love w/o being heartbroken. Do you know what I mean? Ok, off to read the epilogue; can't put it off any longer.....

And now I finally know what a Big and a Little are. lol My kid who's the vp of his ZBT chapter talks about his Big all the time. It's interesting to read about the Greek life; I was never in a sorority in college so I guess I don't know what I missed. "He's one skilttle away from completing the rainbow." has to be one of the funniest lines I've ever read! You are such a comedian Jon! I think the feelings of betrayal, anger and sadness are universal feelings when we see someone we really like making out with/talking to/etc. with someone else. I give Corbin credit though; I would have walked right up to them and told the Brit I was leaving. But of course I woulda said it real nasty-like. lol There's nothing wrong with how Corbin handled it. After all, Pete had been sorta leading him on since they met. So by Pete turning to that girl he was giving Corbin mixed messages. Another awesome chapter Jon! I just wish you updated twice a week!

Chapter #10 - This Cold heart
Lisa commented on podiumdavis's story chapter in Chapter #10 - This Cold heart
I hope Benji's wrong about that camp thing. If they live in Cali it would be good. Cali is trying to pass a law that will ban parents from sending their kids to "de-gaying" camps. I can't believe those places even exist! Anyway....another awesome chapter podium! I am also intrigued as to what Bill's plans are and what weapon he's bringing over to his sister-in-law's house. Jacob's 'dream' was pretty scary, but enlightening also. But I can definitely see how that would freak him out; I think that would freak anyone out. Jacob is such a great brother! It's so nice to read a story where the siblings actually get along! =) But it did serve him right being peed on! lol As always, I'm looking forward to the next installment! -
This is so sad. Patrick has been pining over Ben for over twenty years. I hope now that Ben doesn't shatter his heart again. Very good first chapter. I did enjoy their time at the fair. Oh, and I have a feeling the girls (how old are they?) are pretty intuitive. I'm looking forward to chapter two.
-
Well, Shatt3r3d, you're on a roll! Kevin is so cute and I love their banter back and forth. I'M looking forward to their date, never mind Andrew. lol But I have a bad feeling about this Rick guy. Not a bad feeling, but I'm just hoping he's not the hat guy from the bar. Looking forward to the next update.

Hey lilansui, Ok, I re-read the beginning where you incorporated Japan into the setting instead of London. Well done! Now I understand completely b/c the Pacific Ocean is right there in Japan's backyard. So of course the beach house makes sense. Thank you for clarifiying that! Oh, I did notice you left out the 'i' in Alexi. I saw that yesterday, but didn't bother to tell you. It's 1/4 of the way down, after Peter pours them coffee and Alexi is sipping it. You wrote, 'Alex sipped at his coffee', instead of Alexi. Just in case you wanted to fix it. Ok, looking forward to chapter two! =)
-
Cool new story you've got here lilansui! =) I think instead of running to NY, Alexi needs a therapist. He needs to figure out why he's suddenly full of stage fright and why he can't write anymore. And I'm sure seeing Adrian screwing around on him won't help make his creative juices flow. lol Oh, I was a little confused at one point. Alexi's house is in London right? And it looks out over the ocean? It's a beach house? I don't know England at all, but for some reason I thought London was inland. Anyway, looking forward to chapter two. =)

I don't know where I was that I missed seeing the last chapter! I'm glad Andrew's not pushing Kevin away. Even if nothing comes of it, it's always good having a friend. Maybe he should tell Kevin about the hat guy and the napkin. That was creepy. The first thing I thought of was David; is he keeping tabs on him? That's really creepy/stalkerish. And Andrew certainly was raised right; he wants to be responsible for his own bills, etc. He doesn't want to mooch off Dee Dee. That's definitely commendable. As always, looking forward to the next chapter!

I ditto Bugeye; every chapter gets better and better. Chase is so mature for her age and so insightful. And Lem finally admitted to someone other than Reagan how he feels about Mattie. And this whole thing with his mom. Being a mom, I do understand where she's coming from. I think I'd be more upset if I were Mattie's mom, thinking that that kid Lem was going to set him on a self-destructive path once again. But these moms don't realize is that they are best friends and that means something to them. It's not like they can turn their feelings on and off for different people. They need each other. Chase was to astute mentioning that Mattie was good for Lem and how she just wants him to be happy, b/c when he's happy, she's happy. She's the best sister I've ever read about! Excellent chapter Dave; as usual. Let's see, it's been a few days, maybe when I check back to GA and hit my refresh button at 12:45 a.m. I'll get an awesome surprise....lol

And he's back! I've missed your stories! But yay for me b/c I got a little snippet of Coop and Kyle in this chapter! Oh, and hey, this Amanda isn't the Queen Bee from BHB, is she? Oh yeah, and Adam West, seriously dude? From LA? lol Oh, question: if this is in the Cooper etal era, then it's in the 80's right? B/c the latest Cooper story was supposed to be in current time, right? So if this new story takes place in the 80's, I didn't think cell phones had texting back then. Or beer pong, come to think of it. I think the simplified version was quarters. lol And boy, Adam West from LA is lucky he gets his Cali King and not the standard twin bed! =) Awesome, awesome new story Jon! I can't wait to read more! And welcome back!!!

I didn't get the, "...and I can return the favor." part. But I'm intrigued. I thought Wade was missing for six months, but now it seems that he isn't missing but Dennis is. I'm looking foward to reading more!

Wow, I too can't imagine this story being tied up in one more chapter and a short epilogue. I will really miss this story. Now on to the review: you made me cry happy tears KC! I was so thrilled Tanner confessed his love to Gibby and Gibby to Tanner. So now of course I'm thinking Amanda wasn't in her first class with Gibby b/c she was with her father being lectured. Hopefully Principal Grady didn't let the cat out of the bag as to who reported her and her friends. But she put the pieces together anyway and now she has Gibby in her evil clutches. Which really scares me, b/c she had no regrets about killing Tanner who she's known her whole life, so really, she won't lose any sleep killing Gibby. I wonder if Tanner could come in and save the day? I'm on pins and needles now anxiously awaiting the next chapter. Excellent work KC! =)

I guess Mark and Tyler fight like lovers, huh? But they are just roommates, right? Although they both want something more..... Yeah, I don't know how this will play out. Child services could very well come in and take them to a foster home if Mark doesn't seem like he can take care of them. Of course putting them in foster care does not guarantee they will stay together. Now THAT would be horrible; separating them. I'm feeling really badly for the kids now. Great chapter Lalen! Oh, I noticed a couple of typos, just in case you wanted to go back and fix them: taste bug killing liquid, do you mean taste BUD killing liquid? As in your tastebuds? And then when Mark went to go change to go running, he thru a shirt and sweater on. You mean he THREW a shirt and sweater on. Ok, looking forward to the next installment!
