I for one am glad for the Kick in the pants @weinerdog and @Josh Aterovis, this is a much better version of the original! She smiled, but the effect was rather unsettling. She reminded me of a sinister clown, and I suddenly understood why people suffered from coulrophobia.

Adrien should become their dogsbody with one of those black velvet collars around his neck with a tiny gold bell...As much as I feel he should have paid more of a price, he'd be fun to keep around for Lucien to growl at occasionally.... And making no promises about biting assholes gives new meaning to the old expression...Bite my ass!!! I am truly going to miss this story when it is over....

My gastrointestinal tract is currently experiencing a catastrophic, localized rebellion." By chance, is Karen currently married to a Khan, and is he from a family of Krakens??? -

Including @weinerdog, I think I am being prodded, poked with a sharp keyboard, and I can see the holding back of treats, if I am getting the message correctly.... Is that so???? I'm currently finishing up two entries for the anthology, and a much longer story consisting of about a bazillion words.... If I begin to reread and comment, do the two of you promise to read all three of the stories I am about to post? Pinky swear and coerce your multitudes of friends and members of the korner krew to do so as well???

All that is left is a phone call to Adrien; the call to his sister and mother was poignant, and how he handles the future with them remains to be seen. Lucien left Eli with a choice; actually, he gave him that choice, and Eli answered without hesitation and willingly, of his own accord... The future is now left to the two of them, and up to them as to what to make of it...perhaps join a vampire book club, weekly poker game, sewing circle, midnight disc golf, who knows...the possibilities are endless...🤔
