Esca has no idea of the hell he just unleashed....

Loved how seamlessly this chapter evolved. I do have a question: in what context was "being pushed against one of the pigs" used?

Secret Author Story-Author Reveal & Match Up!

My cup runneth over with luck of the draw.... Or maybe not; good thing you folks can't see my lying face... -
SSSShhhhhhh, it's a state secret.....
-
There's a danger here that has gone unmentioned...According to urban legends, those who aren't flatulent have a greater preponderance of crappy ideas... as we see in the highest levels of governments all over the world...

Or...more often or not? Remembering that no one is perfect, I'd give Levi a pass as 85 tp 90% is so much frigging better than Casey's constantly being 100& Grade A, A..hole

Casey, for the lack of better words, is the exact opposite of Levi; where Levi operates from a set of principles based on the good book, Casey is the devil's apprentice...We have light vs. dark here...

It's getting to be like... Or maybe not... -
How did I miss this update again...oh...lying through my teeth and denying any sort of involvement in the Secret Author contest, even if I was listed as one.... That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!! As to what my friends and I call each other, Google-Adsense wouldn't like it very much, nor any of the 42 words we use....

Chapter 5- Disconnection
drsawzall commented on BendtedWreath's story chapter in Chapter 5- Disconnection
Oh, this is going to get messy, is Orion working for Nos's mother?? And Orion is becoming tiresome....perhaps a hut in the Mojave Desert.... -
Then again, one needs permission if the property is privately owned, even if rented for events. Needless to say, just loving this story!!

Well...this interlude was anything but calm or quiet, and Runyan certainly proved to be a capable asset...If those two boys make it to the grandfathers, here's hoping the uncle had expired on the trail somewhere...it would be interesting to see them again. Now will the uncle come across them and not cause any trouble, best have one hand on the pistol when he's spotted... Where in the heck is Willy James, ahead or behind??? It may not have been an actual cliffhanger, but it was almost a trailside hanger.... Is it next Monday yet?

Thank you for this update, a fantastic chapter that had me glued to the computer....the tension was on par and had me nervously reading...well done !! Now, the man with the phone, while he was supposedly fiddling with is, was he taking pictures? Robert and Firestone should have asked to see his photo gallery...

Chapter 2: Like Nothing’s Wrong
drsawzall commented on Thightide45's story chapter in Chapter 2: Like Nothing’s Wrong
Well, the coming storm is a timely metaphor for Wyatt....Beau needs intensive therapy; actually, both he and Wyatt... Wyatt is driving himself into the ground with his workload; no wonder he snapped the other night... A lot to unpack in this chapter....and where is the 7mm, I assume it is a pistol.. -
Wow... My goodness, there exists in some a hate of loss of control that is unexplainable He turned towards Marco. "What happens?" Marco looked at him. "Between..." Christopher struggled to find words for something that had no ordinary language. "Between me." Marco understood immediately. His gaze drifted back towards the water. "I remain." Christopher frowned. "You mean..." "I don't die." The answer was simple. "I don't disappear." Another pause. "I keep living." Maelor is quite the piece of work; I find it hard to adequately describe him other than that he had to be insane... "There." Maelor spread one hand. "You hear it yourselves. Death does not frighten them. Execution is kindness." Silence. "It ends temptation. I ask for something harder. I ask the gods to save them." The younger priest frowned. "What alternative do you imagine?" Maelor smiled faintly. "Repentance." "They refuse it." "Today." He allowed the word to hang in the smoky air. "What of tomorrow?" No one spoke. "What of ten years hence? Fifty? A hundred?" His voice grew quieter still. "The dead cannot repent. The dead cannot seek forgiveness. Once the sword falls, judgement ends." He looked towards the ancient carvings that watched over the hall. "But the Binding does not end judgement." Several members of the council shifted uneasily. "It continues it." The eldest druid's brow furrowed. "You would condemn them without end." "I would grant them opportunity without end." The old man stared. "Endless opportunity."

To me, Dickoless' prostrations, to the contrary, were just that: a few crocodile tears of faux concern and friendship. I may have the timing wrong, but to display such concern and leave the rest of the week hanging until Sunday puzzles me... “No, you needed me, and I let you down.” He takes a deep breath. “But I don’t want to get into a stupid fight about it. What’s done is done. Now I just want to make it up to you. Forget what I said last week. I was wrong.” I blink at him. “You mean ... we should come out?” “No!” Nicholas looks at me like I’m insane. “Not that. The other thing I said.” “You’re opting out of Games again?” I say hopefully. “You’ll come back to Art?” Nicholas sighs impatiently, then laughs. “No, you goose. The stuff I said about us not hanging out. That was stupid. And I didn’t say, like, let’s never hang out again. This weekend, I am six hundred per cent here for you.” My heart balloons inside my chest. Nicholas is back. “Let’s meet up on Sunday morning,” he says. “Moxies Café, ten o’clock. Lattes and chocolate log on me.” I'm rooting for Sizzler Boy.....and Vicky, right on sister!!!

A fantastic point, but in the case of your death being manipulated through broken rituals, it would make me wonder if it isn't somehow messing with the preordained time and place of your ending, an interruption, as it were. I understand it could be argued it was part of the plan all along, but I feel it was an interference in the natural order.

Well...I was sold on buying the shirts... I could hardly say no, though Neil wasn’t keen. But a couple of days later he picked me up and we parked the bike near the high street. We found the right shirt on the second try—which wasn’t bad going. Neil had been exercised over the idea of trying shirts on, and had come equipped with a T-shirt which he was wearing as an undershirt. A very snug undershirt that did nothing to disguise what lay underneath! And I have to say Neil in black jeans and snug white T-shirt was a sight to behold. It was made even more so because he seemed oblivious to the effect he was having. I also had to look up numpty; it is now a part of my vocabulary!!! I wonder if Anne realizes what a fool she has been...seems to me to be as shallow as Uncle Edwin And with Evan's connections, there's bound to be someone who "sees" Neil's work...
