Meeting the Ex (allegedly)
drsawzall commented on Kileoli's story chapter in Meeting the Ex (allegedly)
Liam could use some Wellbutrin or Valium or a couple of shots of good whiskey…just kidding…I can get to deep into my head where everything has a purpose and a place…I have a tendency to not let go of things, such as clothing I wore decades ago, mind you I will never fit into it again, but it is the memories I can’t let go of! Loved this chapter and a peek into the dynamics between Rick and Liam… And I need the recipe for the cake! -
It was a brilliant idea to look at the Turkish armor and adapt, and the lesson learned about the quality of their steel. Well…we know Ser Lloyd does get his knob and lance polished, and it looks like Julian loves riding a donkey. And now we know more about Gary Glitter’s family tree…

Chapter 4 Boy Meets Kade
drsawzall commented on Grayson Rose's story chapter in Chapter 4 Boy Meets Kade
Its not so much lying like a cheap rug so much, but being honest and a bit selective… -
Well that explains a lot…I would advise extreme caution as it isn’t what you know for certain, it’s what you know for certain, that just ain’t so… You have been told that the cease fire with the Skeksaars has resulted in over five centuries of peace. That is a lie. The Skeksaars found this system after us, after we had started mining it. We have been in a cold war with them since. There was one skirmish several months ago. Since then, we have managed to avoid them. "We do not want to re-enter a hot war, and they appear to not, either. While our technology has progressed over the last half-millennium, their bioships do not seem to have progressed. But we do not need to test that, if we can avoid it. We retreated last time. Next time we might not."

Chapter Twelve - Matty
drsawzall commented on William King's story chapter in Chapter Twelve - Matty
I like the ending, it’s leaving all sorts of possibilities…. what stuck with me is the following…it makes me think Ryan may have some “news “ of his own, and it could go either way… I had a message from Ryan. You having a good Sunday? I smiled and texted back, it's a little odd. Why? He asked. Things that need sorting. You mean Matty? And some. Some? I'll tell you all about it soon. Okay -
They should hire a civil rights lawyer and file charges of repeated harassment….

In his haste to reach The new king, Louis will stumble, again at Dover and elsewhere. Badly needed supplies and reinforcements from France fail to arrive. He’s not finished, a wounded animal fights twice as hard, even as some of the English barons question their alliance. The days and weeks ahead will test the resolve of those who support the new King Henry….

The curse of reading late, the comments above say it all… Ser Lloyd, who will polish his lance now? We still don’t know who gave Wylan the book, unless I missed it… The image of Saint Wylan is an intriguing possibility, think of the cover it would give him… Another passage that gives me pause, knowing what Prince Ishan will accomplish… Somewhere in the darkness, beyond the ridge, Prince Ishan ibn Fadil al’Kalijj was withdrawing with his surviving forces following his brothers and his Grandfather’s host. He'd lost today. The Crusaders still stood. The blind boy still lived. But he knew where to find him now. And next time, he wouldn't miss

Septimus and his lackey are in for a rude awakening, and I, for one, can't wait for the neck of Judayah of the infested neither regons, to meet the blade... Jamal has earned his spurs, so to speak. It is fantastic that those around him see this as well. With Whip and Devin, I suspect they will play a huge role in the events to come!

Things are looking to quietly settle down at the restaurant...Ray, in my humble opinion, needs serious help... Like other readers, I cringed at the barbed wire...it reminded me of a couple of incidents I witnessed in my early teen years. One friend decided, after much prompting from his older brothers, to pee on an electric fence. It was a shocking discovery to say the least. I was visiting with another close friend and his family when his younger brother somehow fell off his bicycle. In the process of falling off, he managed to somehow get the bolt on the top of the handlebars caught in his shorts, slicing the skin of his scrotum. He comes screaming down the drive, holding his hand over his crotch, and as we found out, managed to expose one of his testicles... If you live long enough, you're bound to see/witness many strange things...like the time I watched a small car drive up the loading ramp of a delivery truck...but that's a tale for another day...

Chapter Eleven- Questions and Answers.
drsawzall commented on William King's story chapter in Chapter Eleven- Questions and Answers.
And what passes for an in-depth, intelligent conversation... He looked me in the eyes and I melted. In that instant, we both knew what we wanted. Ryan leant in and kissed me, wrapping his arms around me and pulling us together into a tight hug. When his tongue was finally out of my mouth, I moved back and led the way upstairs. He sat down on my bed and I stood looking down at him. "Where do you think all this is going?" I asked. Ryan looked up and once again our eyes fixed each other. "I don't know." He broke contact, looking around the room. "You got a nice bedroom. I like the poster." -
I just stumbled on this story while looking for From A to Z. I loved the premise and how it unfolded...at first I thought the fact that there was an unused bed was what started the culling “I think they have a child living with them. I’ve seen her on the safety pad waiting a couple of times.” “That’s got to be against the lease. Ovo wouldn’t do that, would he? The pod’s sensors would pick up and report a third body.” “Sometimes the sensors in these old buildings can’t interpret everything. They haven’t noticed we don’t use your bed, for instance.” “Yes, but it’s an incredible risk. If they have unauthorized offspring, the child can be terminated or sent for organ harvest. And I don’t want to think about what sentence the Authority would hand Ovo and Treena.” But as we found out, it was something entirely different. I found this to be very enjoyable and thought-provoking. The scene with his father was telling as well, the father's moral foundation cracking, and then the bit about Lou's mathematical talents, started me down another rabbit hole, one where I thought Kee would come back, never expecting the ending! Well done!!!

As always, thanks for this and the list keeps growing..

Should someone give Sawyer a dildo with nearly dead batteries as he likes it so slow??? The scene of the three of them on the bed was priceless…
-
The comments above said everything I wanted to say….other than… Who’s watching the red herrings???
-
Thank you for this, and I feel this was your best chapter yet. It would be great to look in on these two now and then as their future expands.

There's more to Lord Wylan than meets the eye...sorry...I had a poor imitation of a @weinerdog moment...However, what he understands is just downright scary... Darien guided Wylan away from the crowd, back toward their pavilion. Bran pressed close, his body a warm reassurance against Wylan's leg. When they were alone, Wylan stopped walking. "He was lying," he said quietly. "About the seers. About watching." Darien frowned. "How do you know?" "His voice was trembling. I could hear it when he talked about it. Like he was trying to convince himself." Wylan's hand found Darien's arm. "They don't know anything for certain. They felt something, but they don't know what. They're guessing." "Does that matter?" "It matters because it means we have time." Wylan's voice steadied. "The sorcerer from the lake—he knows. He felt me. But he's not working with the Byzantines. They're separate threats. And if we're careful, we can keep them separate." As to distributing the loot...

Aftermath: Rumors, Repercussions, and Really Bad Timing
drsawzall commented on Jeff Burton's story chapter in Aftermath: Rumors, Repercussions, and Really Bad Timing
I can't wait to see what happens when the she-bitchsecretary finds out...why do I see Madison in the future working either as a press secretary to POTUS, or working for one of those top-secret agencies we see in Encripted... -
Shouldn't have raised all that dust by sweeping the floors this morning...now where is the frigging Kleenex?

Grainger to the rescue with Daventry’s love life, and now a very troubled ship with a career retaking reputation with the authority to make changes…His taking of command should be very interesting…. And he sure impressed the King and Queen….
