Getting all together again will be quite the task, and how will they find their way back to earth?? -
Wowzer....wasn't this a decisive chapter, gun safety and training more than paid off. That it had to be used is a double-edged sword; hopefully with professional help, Steven will be able to put this in his rear view mirror, and thankfully, that twisted A-hole of an uncle can/will no longer harm anyone else....

I have to agree, this chapter was brutal with all the commiseration and sad tidings...we seem to be stuck in a world filled with grey miasma.. -
I have a hunch there will be a lot of hijinks happening... My last thoughts were: “I’ll think about what we did and what it means later.” suffice to say...

The comments above covered most of my thoughts very well. Like others, I don't think anyone should let their guard down. I'm not sure just how far this crew should go in surveying the outlying areas. The further they are from their base, the more trouble they could get into. I am sure the smoke from the fire at the lumberyard will attract others, and some of those may not be zombies, but those with ill intent. Those who simply take what they want/need by any means necessary... Simply a fantastic chapter, and Buck's conversations with Shannon were so well descripted!

I'd be very leery of signing all of my rights to the designs away, and accepting a position on The Board of Directors and settling for profit sharing....What would stop the other members of the Board from deciding to terminate your contract 6 months or a year down the road...leaving you with bupkis...and more than likely, a non-compete clause in your termination....

Enjoyed this very much! When I was working the office needed to send me to the NYC office. Myself and the Director of IT flew down and on the taxi ride back from our sojourn to the office, we were in one of the tunnels. Coming in the opposite direction was a box truck in our lane after he had bounced off the the tunnel wall on his side. We narrowly missed being hit, and in the traffic jam coming of of the tunnel to the airport, two taxi's in front of us had a minor fender bender, trying to squeeze each other out of the lane. From that point on, whenever I had to go to the NYC or DC office, it was by Amtrak Acela, a ride I thoroughly enjoyed, as I was able to book first class!!!
