M needs to finish the locator ASAP and before the baby gets here. Let’s see how Connor does over the next few chapters…

It was a pretty lame comic strip unless you were stoned...not that I would have ever known about that... Flitting is one of those rarely used words describing an action such as a moth around a lightbulb.. Candlepin bowling is bowling with small balls...get your minds out of the gutter folks...not that I would know anything about small balls either...

I had had many chances to hook-up, but I wasn’t built that way. Of course, there was the obvious fumbling with others growing up, nothing more serious than a couple of hand jobs after high school which left me unfulfilled. Anita Bryant, Jerry Fallwell, Newt Gingrich along with the not so moral majority, with their contract on America was unsettling to say the least. Gay boys and men were dying, and no one knew why, and much less interested in finding out why. To the best of my understanding, it was virtually impossible to catch AIDS or venereal diseases from your hand, warts maybe, eyeglasses were a risk I’d take. Then Mikey entered my life…

PREFACE Ever have one of those days? Y’all know what I am talking about. A day that simply confirms that the Fates have decided to conspire against you; your best-laid plans lay in ruins at your feet. A day that reminds you that joy is fleeting, and, at the same time, misery can be a cold, faithful and steady companion. A day you need all your strength to keep your head down, forge ahead, and remember perseverance might be rewarded if you keep your focus on the goal. Part 1

Many changes are occurring, and will we learn more about the young man that was befriended with the gift of the coat???
-
Talk about a trip down memory lane, my disco dancing pants were a crushed velour wine colored flared bell bottoms, that left nothing to the imagination above the knees...then there was the subtilty flowered shirt with the ballon arms and the oversized lapels that went forever... Good on Jason and Colin and here's to it working out!!! Stanley may not know it yet, but help for both he and his mother is right around the corner... Not quite but close...

Boy did this chapter have it all, from the work of the offices and the painting crew assemblage to baby William on the quilt it was just spot on... Did they hear back on the quilts??? I have to admit you had me reaching for the tissues with the following....Well done!!!! True to his word Ollie was back early. He used the bathroom and we heard the shower running. Shortly after he joined us in the living room. His hair was still damp and he was wearing his sleep shorts. He was making his point. He sat between us even though there really wasn’t enough room. “Thanks for taking care of me. I know this is only the second night I’ve been with you but, it just feels so right.” He turned to me and gave me a hug and then to Andre and gave him a hug. He stood up. “I know I’m too old for it but, would you tuck me into bed? It would remind me of dad. He used to do that.” How could we refuse? The three of us walked down to Ollie’s bedroom and pulled down the covers. Ollie slipped into bed and we pulled the covers over him. I ruffled his slightly damp hair and Andre bent down and lightly kissed his forehead. Ollie smiled and looked at me, silently asking for the same. I kissed his forehead and Andre ruffled his hair. Ollie’s smile broadened even more. “Thanks. That’s what dad used to do.” He yawned and rolled onto his side. “Goodnight. I’ll see you in the morning.”

Well, it truly is a small, small world after all with a bit of the six degrees of Keven Bacon tossed in.... I would not trust Stan as far as I could throw him, and from here in Central Massachusetts, it wouldn't be very far... Loved the interaction with Keith and the Mrs., mother of Jonty...might he be a member of the same sex appreciation club??? Alas @Summerabbacat, not all beer or ales are plebian or to be overlooked...you may find yourself pleasantly enjoying a tipple or two of a fine craft beer or ale... Another fascinating chapter!!!!

The Visit and A Lesson In Tolerance
drsawzall commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in The Visit and A Lesson In Tolerance
Someone needs to have a conversation with Principal Dingbat Dumbass...from previous conversations Rocky had with fellow students, Bwuce Wiwmer (future GOP gubernatorial canidate...Thanks @Summerabbacat) is a known bully with a checkered past in the halls of his school, as his victims would attest to... I did not see the apology to Bwuce or his compadres either, nor do I think Rocky should until Bwuce apologize and replace the soiled shirt as well. I'm of two minds, hey...I'm a Gemini, as to paying the medical bills...Bwuce's family should be made to understand that there were multiple witnesses regarding the incidents he started, do they wish to get the lawyers involved... Bass has nothing to be sorry about in regard to his actions and the cretins who stupidly decided to come back to the bar, while I hope they learned their lesson this time, can one really be sure??? Here's hoping Manny's recovery, both mentally and physically goes well...- 31 comments

God bless Grainger, who truly understands that prior proper planning, prevents piss poor performance...as with any naval engagement a careful, a well-thought-out strategy is the key to success. And we see that in harbor or on land the same maxims apply here in the world of George Grainger...... Stupendously brilliant.... what, what!!!! “Your Majesty, since Caroline and I are separated and not living together, I was of a mind to allow Signora Bellini to stay at my home in London,” Granger said, then swallowed before continuing. “I am not sure if that is proper, or if I should instead ensure that she has her own separate place to live.” “And what do you think, Lord Brentwood?” The King asked. “I think that if Signora Bellini lived with me, it would be more formal, and indicative that we were not seeing other people, Your Majesty,” Granger said, then smiled. “It would also be more convenient, and a bit cheaper.” The King laughed at his last statement. “I think that is reasonable,” he said, giving Granger his blessing. “I will convey my observations to Her Majesty.”

Franz's rescuer sounds like a character from one of Josel's fathers' books...while he was able to put the guard to sleep, he hasn't a clue as to where they are going now, down that staircase to the lower levels. Giesela the pig faced, needs her own day of reckoning...and now as an escapee, sadly Franz can't go home until the dust settles...however long that takes...

Y'all know in some places it is considered fine dining... “Are you telling me that they didn’t have any Italian restaurants in Arkansas?” my dad followed. “It’s just that we didn’t see any where we were staying in the Ozarks. Besides, I wasn’t up for having road-kill parmesan or spaghetti and wild animal testicles.”

Chapter 5 - Abernathy

Danger Olona...danger...this can't be good at all.... -
Well, we better understand the conflict with Mother, and the grandparent's decision regarding passing along any assets. One has to wonder if they had issues with her from the beginning of her relationship with their son... Let's see how this two-year contract works out...

It is obvious the MIB did not destroy the mothership, just disabled Mother, that and his time on earth has not done him much good by his own admission.... What will we see or learn when M comes back...and as @drpaladin noted, M just may be carrying baby Michael... Would a bullet have ended the MIB??? I have to wonder... Jack is still my favorite... Hopefully when this is all over Connor gets a personality transplant, quite frankly he's very tiring and as the story devolves around him, turning into a saga as to how many times Connor can prove himself a total A-Hole, one has to hang on to the slimmest thread of hope that he can change... "Were you trying to kill us back there?" M asked the second they were alone. He rubbed his belly protectively. "You can't do stuff like that. You risked our lives for no reason!" "I was hardly risking anyone's life," Connor scoffed. "Nathan just keeps pissing me off." "Well, don't do it again," M said. "Seriously. When it comes to him, you act like you're a brat, too. You should listen to your own advice and grow up already." Connor blinked. "Excuse me?" "You've been pouting and moping around for over a week. Something is always pissing you off, so you're always in a bad mood. You treat your mom like crap half the time and you treat everyone else like they're lesser than you!" Connor stared at M in shock. "You're a good guy, Connor, but you're also an asshole a lot of the time, " he said heatedly. Ya all think????

Then there are those municipalities who will go so far as to order the demo of illegally constructed structures...plus back taxes, fines, and legal fees
