Another fantastic chapter, loved the idioms and the vernacular. Even better is the growing bond between Thomas and Keith and it is a pleasure to watch Keith slowly come out of his shell as it were... One of my employers at the end of each contract for renovations to the facilities, would sit in his office at the end of each completed project with the contractor and myself and would go, "Let's sharpen our pencils, shall we"? as he tried to nickel and dime 'savings' off the overall costs. I heard him described by many something very similar to the following...a phrase sometimes used was something about pinching pennies with the muscles in his posterior.... “Fat chance of that. A very interesting chapter to say the least. I also have to wonder about Heyward finances, there's a lot of smoke but very little fire. It would seem that folks are making conjectures with very little to go on... Obviously, there remains much to discern between the lines... In my job, when I was hiring or asked to review resumes of prospective employees, and the same applied to potential vendors, we were always on the lookout for those who seemed just that little bit too good!! When we came across one of these intriguing resumes, or proposal for services, we would note in a cover e mail or phone call that the respondent suffered from occuflation...

If I counted correctly, from the 19 that the The Bocian Contingent had 19 Godstrolls, 8 are now a messy fertilizer...of the 3 starships that were in orbit, one is presumed to be destroyed, burning in the ocean... What of the other 2 remaining and the cargo freighter? Are the other 10 Godstrolls in orbit? As noted above, who is paying for all of this, the pirates or the massive A-Holes who are responsible for the deaths of billions and so many worlds??? Would it be possible to collect enough blood from those killed to make up what they need? What is going to happen with the one in hiding, trapped and then drained?? Lastly, what happened to the planetary defenses...sabotage??? So many things to think about, not ignoring the following which has me curious......
