What a fantastic and sweet story, proving the pets we have are so much better than humans in so many ways, never a problem with the unconditional love they give us, unlike so many bipedal folks...

Sometimes the words, "You can't go home again,'' ring true. Growing up and by the time I was ready to graduate High School, I remember coming home and seeing the sheriff, eviction notice, and the moving van as once again Dad couldn't/wouldn't pay the rent. This happened four times. In my memories of these places, I remind myself that I no longer see these places with my younger self's eyes...some of these places simply were never home.

Compromise shall be the word of the day, week, and month....and before I discovered I could keep the newspaper with me everywhere I go, thanks to a whole bunch of electrons zapping around me, and at a lower cost, the print version isn't missed... Morning routines are sacred, but not unadaptable, specially when one considers the inclusion of fun times... Salesmen, bible thumpers, and unannounced relations shall learn to heed the sacred morning hours...

Well...I haven't a frigging clue but loved the story and I could see this being a few chapters longer....

As long as we are pointing out Andy's foibles, I believe Robert was also a bit lacking, for someone who had a background serving his country, he also was instrumental in guiding Andy as he delved deeper into this matter....I guess what has me cranky is that everyone who knew about Matt's arrival with the exception of Maeve, dropped the proverbial ball, stepped onto a flaming bag of dog poo, forgot to put his parachute on before jumping out of the plane... What we don't know was, what was so gosh durned critical that Andy just had to leave the island, more so I have to believe that given where he lives that he would have been aware of the weather as a matter of course... Reactions are what any great story should engender, and boy oh boy...kudos to you for pressing my flapjacks, fiddlesticks, and folderol button....you almost hit the cheese and crackers alarm!!!!

Adam and the pissant cousin deserve each other....actually what Adam needs is a kick in the testimonials...

Janek needs to become comfortable with standing up for himself and not being a wallflower...his past is known, troubling as it is, is Marc aware of the latest conversation Janek had with his brother?

Boy does this bring back some memories of the pandemic, Stay out of grandma's rocker Susan....

But does Ricky know???

I had to go with angry, I realize this is only a story, and yet it is so true to life as we see in the news...to the time we can see past the issues of who we are, to the time we focus on the issues that confront us all

With some trepidation off to Ch 1

What is the old adage..."Prior proper planning prevents piss-poor performance'.... Everyone knew, Maeve, Andy, his mother and father the delivery date, I find it implausible and inconceivable that with this prior knowledge that Andy wasn't on the island!!!!! Of course, we can't know what is on the authors mind or how he will justify Andy's absence and that's fine. How long has Andy known the delivery date and I have to suspect he's at least tuned into the local weather forecasts... Enough of my cranking, I'm happy with the next chapter tomorrow so long as Andy, Maeve, Matt, Robert and whoever else isn't sitting around the fireplace singing Kumbaya or The Lion Sleeps Tonight.... That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!! That and the hallmark of a great story is how excited you rile up your commentators...

Let's see here...there is a storm raging outside and while I am glad Matt has finally made to the Isle of Safety, one has to wonder why provision wasn't made to alleviate Matt's fears rather than leave him in the dark. While I realize Maeve is only the housekeeper, saying something other than Andrew's not here, isn't helping Matt. That he discovered the unlocked bedroom door might/may be a clue, Matt knows he's on a frigging, windswept island where there isn't any place to run to...as far as he is concerned, nothing has changed....Hopefully Maeve has a conversation with him in the morning... One has to wonder...is this a one-chapter storm or not....the cliffs, not cliffhangers you dolts, can't be all that high...

Ricky is sowing some wild oats now that he's out playing the field....

Troubles ahead and troubles behind... Don’t think just because you don’t live here anymore that I don’t need your help. When are you going to stop training and get assigned some place that you could start sending items home? You need to get with the program and start helping me make credits. I stopped the recording, cutting his latest diatribe off. Sighing, my head dropped into my hands. No matter how far away I go. It’s never far enough. Bryan is a putz, a world class a-hole...what would he have done if the parents returned earlier... Let's see what happens with Janek...and will Janek be honest about his past and his older brother???

While the vacation was interesting, I felt Ben was a bit too forward. I honestly feel if he wanted to experience, he should have been willing to fully experience and reciprocate...Quite frankly, it has brought up some tension between Mac and Devin... Last time at either Universal, Disney, Sea World or Epcot was tremendously disappointing as the over commercialization at every turn seemed to be overwhelming. There were several rides that were worth the time however... Epcot's only saving grace was the ability to drink myself around the world. 🍻

An interesting beginning with much to consider!!

I was laughing so hard I nearly peed my pants.....

The duality and imagery in this chapter was simply stunning....

Once again, we are treated to an amazing tale of world building and discovery by a master craftsman and superb wordsmith. I won't repeat what other reviews have noted, they are all spot on, what I will tell you...read this and embark on a fantastic adventure!!!

Well that's what you get for bringing home a raccoon, I told you the damn thing was gonna wreck your house 😭😭 I was under the impression that racoons weren't black with white striping....

Simply incredible and masterfully told, and you have left us in awe at the Wunnderful tale you have crafted and woven to our delight. It goes without saying that it begs for a sequel or twenty.... Thank you!!!

Oh, how I am looking forward to seeing Samson the putz being CHOSEN!!!!
