It would appear that once the 'war' between the faiths is concluded, that there will be a battle of timelines or the two realities. I am unclear as to the origin or the information to create/use the orbs came from...

This chapter and the notes for it reminded me of another "gold crisis"... As for the historical accounting trick Eli and Robert used to cover themselves and offer a Gold Cross to Mary as bait to steal the even more important blue orbs, I hope those with history background appreciate the trick. Every now and then a story comes along that touches the reader in so many ways, eliciting so many different reactions as noted in the comments. And boy did I comment in reaction to the various chapters they elicited from me. It is the hallmark every author strives for in the crafting of their work, to be able to reach their readers, and this story has it in spades. One of the finest authors to grace these pages, this story is a "can't miss"!!!

The assistant headmaster Craig needs to be hung by his testimonials...in the public square...after dear old Dad has his way with him... I have much respect for Mr. Mazibuko for doing what is right!!!

I have to ask then, what speaks to the sperm donor's motivation...I can't bring myself to use his name, he pisses me off so...There simply has to be a financial incentive...I find it difficult to see it as altruistic... He's working at Wendys for somewhere between $16 and $20 bucks an hour, most likely 30 hours a week or less, minimal benefits, scant health insurance ad nauseum...Can he demonstrate he can afford to support his progeny? More to the point, his legal team is taking a huge fricking risk in taking his case, clearly on his wages, they are way out of his league...is his current oinking partner funding all this?? What happened the nine years he was gone? Can he demonstrate a solid working history, the ability to have provided for his sons, show tax returns, a clean background, was the pokey at any time serving as his residence, or has he managed to escape incarceration? Not that I have any strong feelings.....

Twins...it truly means twice the fun...

Actually, I don't think Bryan overplayed his feelings, if anything he got the sperm donor to reveal much about himself in the conversation before the sperm donor lost his cool... The boys had the right to know about his background, where he worked, the evasive, non-answer about where in the heck he had been for the previous 9 years...The lack of contact, and most importantly, why now??? As I have mentioned before, the sperm donor would not be going through all of this effort simply to regain the boys...He's privy to information that will benefit him financially...Now...how to figure out just what it is... I suspect the sperm donor's legal team is going to play the 'gay' card, how critical it is to get the boys out of that living arrangement... More chapters quicker as noted...please...and thanks!!

An odd thought, was it possible Micco's father was 'touched in the head' by Long Ears as a younger person??? Not sure how else to explain the depths of depravity he sunk to???

My goodness, this chapter cleared up many of the loose ends...good on Burke...quite frankly he deserves a medal for his actions...while I am not a vindictive person by nature, I hope each and every one who took part of the atrocity in Oklahoma suffered...greatly!!!! The following was stunning to say the least... “Maybe this will help,” Burke says, voice gentler now. “When you came to live with your aunt and uncle, I felt like the Great Spirit had given me a second chance. Your presence here gave me purpose, do you understand? A reason to stop drinking. To get a job. To return to Billie and the rituals that define us. To become a role model and a de facto parent. You did save someone, Micco. You saved me.” I, like others suspect Long Ears has finished with Martina, both never to be seen again. This leaves me wondering, begging the question as to what happens to the inheritance, will it go to the shelter without a protracted fight?? Micco and Chase will make a formidable team in whatever endeavor they find themselves in!!!

Then there are those nifty devices that take 2 of the C cell batteries...still it takes a certain amount of chutzpah, I was gonna say ball's, to even contemplate doing so... You forget...Ben Franklin had come up with/invented a sort of battery...life after the dinosaur extinction wasn't a bed of roses but not all that bad...
