Oh...what a tangled web does our author conceive...I think the 'leavers disco' is just the beginning of a hormonal stew of tangled thoughts and feelings...I suspect there will be fireworks of all sorts coming up...growing up is never easy, is it??? Thinking I need a half dozen of those cherry turnovers as I enjoy the back alleys and side streets tour of Ravello...

So nice to be back in Ravello, and knowing a bit more about the kiss is truly setting the stage for what I think will be one heck of a ride as we follow our protagonists.. Allow me to chirp about the weather here, just south of Boston Ma...after an exceptionally warm, and dry winter, less than 10 inches of snow out of an expected average 60 inches, spring came 3-4 weeks early. We are in a warm dry spell where for the past couple of weeks and for at least the next two weeks, we'll see temps from the mid 60's to the mid 80's...and no rain in sight for the next 10 days... Looking forward, eagerly anticipating the rest of this tale!!!

Add me to all the positive comments above, another fabulous chapter and with all the wonderful descriptions of food, thank goodness I was reading this with my lunch!!! I am looking forward to learning more about the game preserve, and it sounds like a wonderful business proposition!! Dan and Joan are two of my favorites and simply the best after the children and Rascal!!!

No wastin time by either Mike or Eric...it is a question of just how hot that smoldering fire is gonna last. As to the rest concerning Mike's non-promotion, what is it that Delaney that bumps him up over seniority...something is afoot, the comment regarding how the steel plant left fo better economical conditions is worrisome... As to this...I'm calling BS!!! “I’m not going to mince words. I’m giving the foreman job to Delaney. Now before you speak, hear me out.” Again, fine. Michael found he couldn’t have uttered a word even if he’d wanted to. “As you’re well aware, you have every right to appeal to your union rep. You’ve got more time in and more experience on the floor. What I’m asking is if you’ll consider abiding by my decision. I have my reasons.” Michael gave a slow nod, and Ed took that as permission to continue. “I’ve got my eye on something for you, Mike, and I think it’ll be a better fit for your skill set. In the meantime, Delaney’s got the education behind him that will help sort out the people problems that come with being a foreman. You catching my drift?”

I don't disagree with your comment and I may not have been clear enough, I would have David seen by both specialists the very same day, doctor first, dentist second...waiting 4 weeks to assess the state of David's oral needs is/was not wise...

I also like @weinerdog and @raven1 had the same gamut of emotions, so incredibly sad that, before Ronnie, no one saw the need in David, or the condition he was in...So glad to see that somehow GG was behind finding him, let's hope that David fully recovers and makes everybody proud of his life's achievements.. My only other thought was I would not have waited to see the oral surgeon. While David possibly wasn't in the best possible health, the lack of or poor oral care is the beginning of the infectious disease highway...My feeling was that he needed to be seen ASAP if only to get a handle on a treatment plan... A heart wrenching chapter CL to say the least, well done!!!

Jackson getting expelled isn't the end I fear, if not criminally charged he'll simply have too much time on his hands. In his current situation, I strongly suspect his, and I'm being generous here, two working brain cells aren't connecting, and there just may be trouble lying in wait...while I hope we've seen the last of him, I remain unconvinced he's been neutered...If he somehow survives to middle age, I could see him running for governor and eventually the vice presidency...😬 Nate and his entire family are making great progress very quickly. I hope they all realize they aren't anywhere out of the woods yet.. Then there is Dr. Gavin Casey...what more needs to be said about the wonder Doc...everyone should have a sounding board like him...as to his background, why am I reminded of another famous Dr Casey as some of us over a certain age may recall...

Had it been a nuclear experiment gone wrong at Lawrence Livermore Lab; or some kind of UFO phenomenon the government was keeping ‘hush, hush’. And then the mystery boy Tomas shows up and leaves us with the following... Tomas explained,”you are going through a change and I am here to help you with the transition.”

Wow...simply wow...Then there's Gus, what can I say about him that everyone knows, and the same for Josh, Sam and Tammy. This was an emotional chapter, and despite all the crap in Ben's life, and those who did him harm, it truly stuck out to me that the essential goodness that we humans can share, was so prevalent in this chapter... I don't trust/like the landlord...drinking at that time of day...the man's a pig and I worry for Ben living in that hellhole...

I needed to go back and reread the first two chapters before diving into this one and I concur with the comments above, I found the following two snippets to be powerfully evocative along with the rest of the story The bedeviling deep within trying to burst out wasn’t some alien from another planet, or the anxiety itself.
