How did I miss this.....

Oh what tangled webs their hormones create, will Marco take it upon himself to clear the air with Giaco? We know nothing about where he's been or up to, his state of mind. Obviously Danni needs to sort out his thoughts/emotions, and we've got ASSunta, Cosmo and a few handguns thrown into the mix... Hopefully, like pulling a bandaid off quickly, a meeting of the minds so to speak between Danni and Giaco will go towards a reconciliation...but,

Calvin...Calvin...Calvin..., the damage you've managed to create, satisfying your own personal demons, has caused incalculable harm. Staked to and over a fire ant nest, slathered in honey, would be too merciful for you... One can only hope that from this Bryan begins to accept the help he needs.

Loved this chapter and it helped pass my lunchtime...Lots of interesting threads in this chapter, I still remain concerned as Joel about others who may be out there...it might be possible/necessary to consider rescuing folks from other Arks that may fail...what a conundrum that would be...

All I got is the following and @Jim Fraser's comment... Giacomo shook his head. “We’ve been through this already!” he exclaimed. He clapped a fist to his heart. “I love you! I mean… what more can I do to show it?” “You say that,” Daniele mumbled, “but…” Giacomo’s clenched fist fell loosely to the dirt. “Don’t you trust me…?” he said quietly, his dark eyes wide and dismayed. Daniele couldn’t bring himself to answer him. He looked away again, wrapping his arms around his knees and burying his face in them. “But…” Giacomo murmured, “I crossed the line for you, in front of everyone. I risked everything.” Daniele drew a ragged breath. “I’m sorry!”

Pat is back and will soon find a role to play, no doubt!!! So glad David got his portrait, what an important healing moment for him. I wonder id GG has insight as to why Louise is behaving as she is...it is very concerning to say the least... For some reason, Louise didn’t like David. I didn’t like that and even after punishing her, she didn’t stop. Colin said she was a spoiled brat.

Steve scored a very impressive food for thought point wth Bryan with the following comment...and boy it is oh so true and hard for a teenage to grasp... “Yeah, it is. My point being, however, you can find ways to stand up for your friend and be who you are without having to fight as your first act.” “Did you ever get into fights?” “A lot, but it was never my first option. There's more than one way to put up a fight.” Bryan needs to step back and reevaluate his actions/behaviors' towards Kenney, who at this juncture feels as if he's being led on...

And just where is Parallax while all this is going on, while Beckett's journey begins to save his irresponsible backside for losing the star???

This was in all seriousness a revealing chapter, Giaco's admission of his feelings towards Dani, have me believing this relationship, for what it's worth, isn't a shallow one for Giaco... With everything packed, they paused for a minute to cool down. In the hour or so since they had woken up, the sun had already climbed much higher into the sky and its strength was mounting. They sat together under the shade of the chestnut trees. “Thanks, Dani,” Giacomo said. “For what?” Daniele asked. The dark-eyed boy smiled. “For finally letting me in.” Random thought of the day, we had seen Enzo in a previous chapter talking with the new police officer, could it be he's working undercover?

The dreaded puberty monster rears its ugly head, and like buckshot randomly scattering hormones. It's a tough part of life that we somehow barely survive. Offhand it could be said, some never fully recover from the effects... On the other hand @Ivor Slipper and @drpaladin, one can say with all certainly the vote for a groan button/emoji, would win hands down...

Well, that was one heck of "The Talk" for the boys, one has to wonder if the week of chores will sink in to Bryan to engage the brain before mouth...

An adjuster with the name of Robert/Roberta Empathetic? I've had a few Manageroids throughout my many years of working...My favorite was the ex-Marine who was hell bent on ship shaping us all up. Wanting to set 'standards' for dress, appearance, hair and the like/whatnot...He thought he would make the perfect example out of me by Manageroiding my ass, in front of co-workers and other managers... When he finished dressing me down I was given a chance to respond...asking him, if he has served in the Corps for eleven years, making a career out of it, how was it that his leaving wasn't his choice...but the result at the time,of a downsizing program by the Corps.. Like Manageroid's meltdown, I thought at the moment a fire extinguisher may be needed...purely for self-defense, thankfully there was safety in numbers. He lasted another month when he and the office manager were caught selling office equipment, but that's another story for another time...including the nice bonus check deposited to my account by a grateful owner...

Bryan is at least taking a long look at his actions and behavior, although I still feel he needs quality time with his therapist to help sort out conflicting thoughts/actions...

Another tender chapter and it was so nice to see all the boys at breakfast...Poor Julie tho... That evening, “It’s good to have Richie and Anne Marie home. We have one more wedding, Ronnie and Julie.” “What kind of home do you think they will pick?” “I don’t know but I’m sure Ronnie will want a football team.” “Poor Julie”

Chapter 30 - Olona & Sumi

Is this the last chapter of Book 3? There's a lot of loose ends to tidy up before the meteor and deadly virus arrive... -
Chapter 29 - The Market

The proverbial calm before an impending storm... -
It is called testicular fortitude, and if Seth can't find any...soon...then, as one commenter mentioned earlier, these toxic folks all deserve each other. Blake is nearly beyond help, the help he desperately needs, it is well past time for the functioning adults in his life to get him the help he needs. And it may mean time with intensive therapy and possible short term institutionalization... Dear old Mommy Dearest, apparently she needs a visit to the eye and ear clinic, once that is done some remedial classes in child rearing...Or does she have a little something...something... other than work going on that keeps her from home so much??? Stacey...you're on a fast trip down a short road...the ending ain't gonna be pretty and at this point...well deserved...don't know why, but somewhere, somehow to use the old expression, light dawns on Marblehead...I don't hold out hope however... Craig, dear, dear Craig...how many other boys have you abused and raped that are hiding in closets, not so dissimilar to yours...you've got a history there and as ugly as it is, your present is about to get much uglier...food for thought remote as it may be, how well do you know Blake??? The only good thing I can see for Craig is that incarceration will get you off the streets for some time. The sad ending for Craig is that it will not do him any good, other than he'll learn some new skills and see life from the other side.

Simply put, this chapter was a master class in wordsmithing, demonstrating how to be erotic, without being explicit.; The slow dance of the boys as they went about their day, fraught with anticipation, of events to follow was simply marvelous and sooo believable... a beautiful description and treatment of the boys furthering and overcoming their fears and hesitations. I have to believe Giaco when asked about liking both boys and girls, was his answer. If anything was going to allow Dani to accept Giaco was that answer, the honesty Dani needed to hear.. Giacomo took his hand. “Don’t think this makes you weird, Dani. I don’t know why, exactly.” He hesitated. “There’s one thing I do know, though. I feel this stronger than I’ve felt it for anyone else.” I worry for our little mouse, will this be a setback for Marco? Is there someone out there he can become close to, to share a relationship??

Chapter 27 - Gunge, Part Two
drsawzall commented on Adam Andrews Johnson's story chapter in Chapter 27 - Gunge, Part Two
I still think the planet needs a fresh start, you just may have to skip a few million years in the story arc...I have to agree with @drpaladin, there is little now to differentiate our hero's from the enemy, so it seems... -
Chapter 27 - Gunge, Part Two
drsawzall commented on Adam Andrews Johnson's story chapter in Chapter 27 - Gunge, Part Two
Well...for the lack of better words this chapter is an example of a dichotomy...we see what our hero's are becoming in losing their humanity as evidenced by the following... Lahari released her grip on the two victims she had absorbed, but to her surprise, a man and a woman were looking back at her. Both of them were naked. “Who the fuck are you?” Lahari asked, and she shoved them away from her. They fell onto the grass and both looked very confused. “We’re not…” the woman started to say, “monsters anymore?” but neither of them was given an opportunity to reflect further on their renewed condition. A disc of Tisa’s shadow appeared in front of Lahari, and from it came an enormous serpentine neck, and the thing’s head was only mouth. It chomped down, biting off the top half of the man and the woman. Their waists and legs quivered where they knelt for a moment, as if yet to realize they were no longer attached to bodies, and they slumped to the earth. “Huh,” Lahari mused, “my power seemed to revert them back to their human forms.” Then she laughed. “They didn’t stand a chance against you, Tisa!” Juxtaposed against this... Gawa looked surprised, and she stared at Olona with her blank white eyes. “You don’t think it’s, I don’t know, gross to touch me?” Gawa asked. Olona looked hurt, but not by Gawa’s words. It was as if even the very idea that Gawa, or any of the Biological Shifts, felt untouchable, hurt Olona. “I’m so sorry,” she blurted out, quickly removing her hand from Gawa’s shoulder. “I should not have just reached out and touched you. I apologize.” She then asked, “May I please touch your arm again?” Gawa looked confused and turned her gaze to the others. “I guess so,” she replied with an uncertain shrug. Surrounded by the gore of the destroyed monsters, Olona returned her palm to Gawa’s skin. “I don’t think you’re gross at all.”★ I'm beginning to think it is well past time for the meteor, or a deadly virus...let the planet heal itself and let evolution begin anew... -
