It seems that Devin has plans to see Michael join him as a skinwalker, the question becomes, is it done by someone who is or can act as a shaman...OR...Could Devin be turning Michael by intimate activities??? 😉!!

Another thought occured to me, the Duchess of Suffolk, was Grainger's mother a bit closer to Lady Kendall than we thought? While gossip and speculation seems to travel faster than any other type of news, Lady Kendall was remarkably well informed and current. It would seem to explain her bequest to the Duchess of Suffolk...

What a fantastic chapter and can't add much to what has already noted, other than to say that Davinia just may be opening a larger can of whoop ass...It is to be expected that she, her dunce for a husband and father-in-law just may not realize or understand how much the King, Prince of Wales and the Duke of Cumberland just how much esteem they hold Grainger in, considering how much he smoothed troubled waters. I suspect Caroline is going to be mortified when she realizes the magnitude concerning the error of her ways... I believe after further consultation and consideration, both estates will run very smoothly... It will be fun watching the clueless and befuddled try to overturn Lady Kendal's will... Thanks Lord Arbor for another fantastic chapter!!!! Now to reread it once again!!

My gut feeling is that the Messiah's will retrench for the night, to better plan and understand what is facing them...Conversely, it is time for the residents of the town to realize that they need to organize!!! Why do I get the feeling that Ninyani might be a secret weapon...

Well done, could not have said it any better... One thing has me wondering about Ninyani, we know he has the ability to make things hot or cold, in his defeating the old "god'' of his village, one unintended side effect was the death of everyone in his village...does he have the ability to create the same sort of effect elsewhere, or was it just a one time thing???

I think it is time to retrench, solidify the guard force rotation, have reserves in place to meet any opponent and securing your homes and businesses...

A very engaging beginning, love the setting and looking forward to more!! Found the following very enjoyable, nothing like Jägermeister glasses to clear one's vision...even if temporarily... But the sounds intensify and I start to feel something even stronger, a strange taste on my lips. Fearing what's coming, I slowly pull away from Matthias and look deeply into his eyes. "Levi, I need to tell you something..." He says, breathing heavily. Whatever he wants to say seems important. "Hey guys I really need to close now..." Conrad's voice reaches us when he comes out of the kitchen. He looks at me and frowns, "Levi? Are you okay? You look... green..." I process his words, but can't give an answer because right after his last words, I feel something coming up from my stomach. And without time to run to the bathroom, I end up throwing up on Matthias's sweater, before passing out.

Can't disagree, one has to wonder now that the citizens have been setting up neighborhood and town watches, how long it will take for these independant actors to be brought under control and get to organizing... Vion left his inquisitors in the street and followed her. “Do you know what happens when a Messiah consumes another mantis gland?” the Principal Messiah asked. “Another, milady?” She furrowed her brow. “Yes, another,” she replied. The woman glared at Vion with an expression that dared him to interrupt her again. “You remember eating the mantis gland that turned you into a Messiah, correct?” Her question was rhetorical, and her tone was sarcastic. She continued without allowing him to reply. “Far to the south, the mountains end in a vast flatland, but between the two lies a region of foothills that serve as the monsterdom of the mutated. Those twisted addicts,” she continued, as she began to climb the stairs, “are not part of this society.” The Messiah's hell bent on death, destruction , and the cannibalization of the innocent need...must be eradicated if they are unable to change their ways. And to repeat myself...for those who feel differently...re-read Ch1 of the first book...

Well done sir and well played!!! Nice to see Jexon amd Marcus will, along with family, consolidate mand focus on the important things in life!!!

I hope that everyone at the show remains safe and gets home safely... We do not know who was impacted by the events alluded to in the last two chapters, I suspect the aftermath will not be pleasant...

What happens to Vion when he ingests a second mantis gland, can, or will he want more???

He is nothing more than an animal upon which we feed.” The Principal Messiah finished her beverage and placed the mug on a table.

Sadly there are those who are uncomfortable when it comes to thinking for themselves and have no issue with others thinking for them. And will blindly follow someone of a group of someone's who can convince others that, and take your pick, the world is ending, society is breaking down, brown skinned rapists' and murders from south of the border are coming to steal your women, children and steal your jobs, or the government is involved in a seriously complex plot to make everyone wear tinfoil hats...and let's not forget we need to be aware of space lasers, axe the constitution, and the need to execute all the democrats... A friend from high school, now many years past, will reach out to me to try and save my soul every few years or so...I think he forgets that, despite his supposed superior belief system, he's coming to battle unarmed... This time he was ranting against unmarried fornication and other similar ills...I asked him about Jesus and the woman at the well,, and was he the type of christian who cherry picked the parts of the bible that suited him...I suspect it will be another year or so before I see him again...

Would fit in nicely with any of the old Twilight Zone stories...well done!!
