Together, the two of them have managed to create something, a physical presence of some sort. Is it sentient? And yes, the best defense is a capable offense, pinning your foes back... I think before they bring the battle to Orinovo, they had best do some serious research into the az-ari. How many types are there? How are "talents" taken from fellow az-ari? Frankly, they need to know everything possible about them before considering bringing the war to Orinovo...

Valentine’s Vows and Vanishing Acts
drsawzall commented on BendtedWreath's story chapter in Valentine’s Vows and Vanishing Acts
Thanks for this, I enjoyed it very much. You are leaving your readers with a sense of foreboding, knowing there is one more story to follow.... Neither wolf noticed the faint scent of gun oil and silver, the rain washing it away, or the glint of binoculars from a distant ridge, gone in a heartbeat. &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& By the time everything was settled, the storm had passed, leaving the woods washed clean and glistening. Sunlight broke through the clouds. A vehicle engine started somewhere in the distance, the sound barely audible over the laughter beginning to fill the clearing. &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& The sound carried far on the clear night air, echoing across miles of forest into the listening darkness beyond, reaching a concealed spy. -
Chapter 2: Second Glance
drsawzall commented on Soren Kraft's story chapter in Chapter 2: Second Glance
LA seems not to be so appealing -
King John will not sit still for long, as we see by his comment about instructions/guidance from Rome. Runnymead, as much as the Magna Carta, is seen by many to be a sacred place. There are memorials from many democratic nations attesting to its importance as well. It is believed that the Magna Carta was signed under the boughs of the Ankerwycke Yew, a tree over fourteen-hundred-years-old. Another fabulous chapter, Albert! Runnymede - Wikipedia

You borrowed my thunder @Summerabbacat, and once again, we find Killian behind the wheel.....yikes!!! Chapter 3: Rising Curiosity (Jeff)
drsawzall commented on Soren Kraft's story chapter in Chapter 3: Rising Curiosity (Jeff)
Oh my goodness, well goodness will have nothing to do with what will happen, things just got very interesting!!! Is this the sound a door makes when it opens??? Jonas nodded slowly. “I know that feeling. Took me a while to figure out what I actually wanted. Turns out it was guys. Older guys, mostly. Ones who know themselves, who don’t play games.” -
Eileen, Graham, Pericles & Gloria
drsawzall commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Eileen, Graham, Pericles & Gloria
I'm left wondering if Graham should also be watching his back.... Louis' life is about to get very interesting and busy... I had to look up the museum. I have loved comics since I was a wee child. Every Saturday morning, I would get my allowance and head to the drug store, and spend an hour trying to decide what comic book I wanted, and the flavor of my upcoming ice cream cone....Inevitably, I would also come home with the latest Classic Illustrated comic book and an orange sherbet cone. On occasion, I would be given some comics by the owner that hadn't sold, getting Batman, too violent for my mother, past her was quite the exercise in deception.... As from the last chapter, someone struck more than a match.... -
Chapter Three - Still Waters Run Deep.

Ain't that the truth... On appearance it's a small thing, but that's the match that lights the fire. There is a whole load of other stuff. -
The Art of Wanting and Doing
drsawzall commented on Celian's story chapter in The Art of Wanting and Doing
I agree with the comments above, no one has been minding the pressure cooker, and it's about to.... I think Alice is going to come back to a huge, disaster-infused mess fueled by alcohol...The farm won't burn down, but several relationships will... Pressing his lips together, Dante nodded simply. "And yes, Matthew needs all the help he can get, but I want you to watch Henry and Frank. This stupid show is happening the day before Ma's birthday, of all days, and if she's allowing the slaves to celebrate, I don't know-- And Pa's not in a good mood right now." To this he raised a brow and asked a little provocatively: "What does this have to do with Frank and Henry?" Was he imagining it, was it the light, or was she really turning pale? "I just want you to intervene in case of emergency, should he try to take out his bad temper on someone who can't fight back or doesn't dare to disagree." Dante nodded obediently, but where she got the impression Blaise was in a bad mood was beyond him; he actually got the opposite feeling. Or maybe that was just her interpretation of the breakup between Blaise and Tom. "And besides, at parties like this there's alcohol for the slaves and both Henry and Frank should keep their hands off of that, the others are already overdoing it, there's no need for these two to join in." Blaise is like a shark, a land shark nevertheless, and he's gonna start something even he can't control...it's a shame a log didn't roll off the truck...damn it... Will this 'birthday party' and its ramifications blow up Frank's guardianship? -

He had at least the thought and will... I think he had the thought, but not the will! -
Wow, that was intense!

Fenn should have killed Yarima as he tossed her.. It’s time to hit the books and figure out how many disciples one can have! What is the Herald up to?

Chapter 1: The Gym Around the Corner

Steph saw something Steph liked! And did his best to attract the object of his attraction…..🤨 -
A truly remarkable story of love, engaging and expertly nuanced, as we watch Hudson and Liam build a relationship despite all the negativity tossed in their way. This story had me hooked with one of the best opening chapters I've read in quite some time. As the first chapter finishes, you find yourself on a rollercoaster you won't want to get off of!

My sincerest thanks for gifting us this story. Truly remarkable, and I hope that someday in the not-so-distant future we have a chance to peek in on these two, and let's not forget Mateo or Daniel. Thank you!!! And I look forward to you sharing more of your talent with us!- 24 comments

Ain at the moment, is a detriment to any action that might occur. It would have been better if the spoiled little child that he is had been left at home with a babysitter or two... Behaving as he is, he is of no use to anyone... There has to be more than the Herald making Ain a general to create such enmity. What else happened?
