Please I'm from Long Island. There are accents from Brooklyn to Montauk. Everyone hears Long Island and thinks Fran Dresser. UGH. But even my LI accent has been blunted by years in Connecticut. Give me another year or two and I'm sure I will be right back to where I was. Granted I tend to speak fast. Habit I guess but the way you pronounce words will vary. Considering I was a speech minor I pay more attention then most would. And yes I'm one of those who listens to accents and falls in love. British, Irish, Scottish accents are varied and sexy. A true southern accent can keep my full attention even if they are just reading the phone book. Hell there is even something about a midwest twang that cute.

Thanks Billy. Hard to stand out in such an accomplished crowd but glad people are commenting. -
Made For Him - The Story of Ten E

Well I can't take all the credit here. The idea was inspired by Ray Bradbury's I Sing the Body Electric. Only I took it in a whole new way. Instead of ordering a sweet older looking robot to take care of your children, what if you could custom order a mate or playmate. I kept going in a whole new direction once I had my concept. Just glad people seem to be enjoying it. Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed it KC. -
I really enjoyed this. You worked all the words in and gave a beautiful story on top of it. These are hopefully something you enjoy doing. I work hard at trying to come up with lots of different options for the prompts. Glad to see you are taking and interest in them.

Funny how sometimes it is the dying who teach the living how to do that. Grief has many ways of manifesting and you showcased one way here. Your story was touching and very special. Nicely done all around.

Okay, who the hell is Mark? You kind of toss him at us out of nowhere. And I wanted to hear more about sex on legs. lol.

Thanks Bill. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for catching the error. All fixed as well.

Made For Him - The Story of Ten E
comicfan commented on comicfan's story chapter in Made For Him - The Story of Ten E
If nothing else I have learned to show and not tell. I have a beta I work with who is trying his best to get me to think before I write. Hopefully it is helping. Glad you enjoyed it. -

Glad you enjoyed it Yettie. I always try to do something a little different in each of these anthologies. I wouldn't mind a TEN E of my own. -

You Sure You Want to Do This?
comicfan commented on MJ85's story chapter in You Sure You Want to Do This?
Well at least Mom had her priorities straight. Never happy when you see a child rejected for any reason, but especially when they are being honest about who they really are. Nicely done. -
Which Way Do You Want To Die
comicfan commented on W_L's story chapter in Which Way Do You Want To Die
That was a whole new look on death. Not sure everyone is ready for acceptance but given the option that is the one I'd want. -
Wow. That sort of future is beyond frightening. Never mind worrying about what your future might hold, I can't imagine growing up and being afraid i might not live to see my sixteenth birthday. You created a very bleak future there.

Who knew King Arthur's knights were gay? As usual Dolores you find an interesting way to present your tale. The poem was a fun read and I like the way you had Gareth see both paths and choose one that would lead him toward happiness. Nicely done.

You've made your choices and the future is bright. Glad to see you are finding ways to put the past to rest. Great story and loved the tension you built in it as you wrote it. Wonderful job Mark. I'm so happy to see your writing continue to grow. Proud of you and this story.

If a Tree Falls in the Forest
comicfan commented on Sara Alva's story chapter in If a Tree Falls in the Forest
Well that was a mass of role reversals. Have to admit it was fun to read and discover who was really interested in who. i thought the whole idea of tying the shoes together was really cute. Nicely done Sara. -
Ouch. Nothing like a crazy woman to end his happiness. You introduced her but I still didn't know what her role would be. I guess sometimes the unexpected will show up. He finally made peace with his past only to lose his future. That was one hell of a story you have written Cassie.

Poor Tyrel. The were couldn't win no matter which way he turned. Great story, but then again I knew that from the beta read. Hope everyone else enjoys as much as I did.

When you lie to yourself, you lie and hurt others too. Poor Carmel. At least he finally was able to see the truth of it and let her go. She might be his best friend, but he was causing her and himself so much pain. Interesting story all the way through.

Alright I feel like hell and will be posting parts of this in a few spots so people know. I hate going anywhere without being all set. Considering I was the one who set up the DC get together let me simply put this as simply as I can. I won't be there Three things made sure that doesn't happen. First Strike was my car. I had set over a thousand dollars aside for this trip. I figured no way was I going to be caught flat for it. However, my car in the last month alone stripped me of over $1100 in repairs. However, with my paycheck I would still be able to squeak by and make it down, just wouldn't be able to do all I had hoped to do. Strike two. My 73 year old father took a fall this week and still isn't up and functional completely. Considering the reason I gave up my life in Connecticut was to be here and help him, it isn't exactly a great idea to leave him here when he is hobbling around. Luckily he didn't break anything but his whole left side is all black and blue, swollen and the doctor has told him not to climb ladders to cut things. He is to wait till I get home and I'll do it. Add the guilt of Father's Day on Sunday and I'm not winning any awards here Strike three is Me. When I took him to be examined the doctor that my father goes to is the family doctor. Evidently I was more upset than I realized. He took one look at me when I went in with my father, knowing I have high blood pressure and an irregular heartbeat stopped to take my blood pressure. Whatever he seen or heard had him order up one of those heart monitor things where you get wired for sound. He didn't have it in his office Wednesday so I was his last appointment on Thursday night. I didn't exactly sleep well last night. I can say those patch things itch, I want a shower and five pm can not get here soon enough. So the DC East Coast set up that I started, I can't make it to. I feel like a huge heel but there it is. Sorry gang but this time I have to put other things before it.

Talk about a dark world. Granted I never see the world as rainbows and lollypops but the world you created here quickly became everyone's worst nightmare. Here is hoping your future does not hold sway, Bill.
-
Aww, KC that was so sweet. I liked that a lot. Nice to see how things were handled. You did a wonderful job here.

Raw, savage, and freeing. You capture the heart ache of school bullies, the shame of abuse, and so much more in so little space. Yet instead of turning it to one where he grabs a gun and harms others, he turns it all to one of freeing himself from the abuse. One of your good ones, Lugh. Glad to see this made it.

Now that was a different approach. I haven't really read many stories where I was actually part of it. The choice to come out is never easy, and then the whole spectrum of gay is looked at, and some parts are not as accepted by parts of the gay community, never mind the straight one. Interesting view on this. I enjoyed reading it.
