    Prompt 401

Prompts are whatever you want them to be. More than one has become a full multi-chaptered story. I love this. I find it amusing that the biggest of them ends up as a skunk. Very imaginative Krista. Hope you decide to do more with this.

    Chapter 1

Thank you Cole. Yeah, Tim's life wasn't the easiest. There is hope for Frank, but the rest of his siblings leave a lot to be desired. Tim has grown and he is very much his mother's child. He has a huge heart and just doesn't want to see the pain his siblings caused delivered on their children.

    Chapter 1

Tim's family is a mess. He really needed to get away from them in order to move on. The funny thing is, he probably was the one who could have used the money most, but then he was too much of his mother's son to take it. Instead he is going to use the money like his mother did, to help the children, in spite of his siblings.

    Chapter 1

Going home was seen as just completing the full circle. Started at home with Tim dealing with the loss of his boyfriend and ended with him going back to his home in Florida after dealing with his loss of his mother.
  5. Well I read them all. Going to go to work really tired for that morning meeting. Go read them. Worth the time.

    The Scrapbook

I loved it. I am glad that Brian and Roger got their lifetime together. Lydia nearly messed things up, but it seems she was Brian's friend and was there to help even at the end. Sort of a bitter sweet story, but very much worth the read. i loved it, Cole.

    The Story

Painful to read. Loss, abuse, prostitution, and fighting to move on. You deal with a lot in this story, Ron. You feel Max was out to hurt his father, but ended up hurting himself even more. You feel for the poor man. Gripping read and well done.

So Rick and Theo run into each other and begin a relationship. I loved Theo's family. Rick's brother is something else, can you say over protective and judgmental? I really enjoyed this werewolf story. Always something nice at the full moon. Great story Sasha. I wouldn't mind seeing more of them.

    Eight-fifteen

Hmm. Julian and Romeo and Paris. Has someone been reading Shakespeare lately? Well considering you said you were going to be doing stories for the anthology based off of this, I guess I can sit and wait for the next one. That is next week right?

    Daydreams

Sounds like a man just coming to terms with himself. Nicely done Dolores.
  11. Yes, Elliot and Max finally got married. Pete shows signs he is growing to be something more than an idiot controlled by his father and his father lost his chance to hurt Elliot. Nicely done, Val. Great end to set of wonderful stories.

    Chapter 4

Well last time we thought we had finished with this little trio, but to say I was happy to see them again would be an understatement. I do so love how they find ways to fit into each others lives and make things better. They really do love one another. I am glad to see Maih's parents accept him and his plans for his own life and the farm. Wasn't originally sure what to expect there. Great story. Wouldn't mind seeing them pop up again.

    Chapter 3

Seems the roommate really learned a lot about his plans and is out to destroy his chances. I wonder if he took samples and plans to make his own try at Miah's ideas. On to the next part.

    Chapter 2

The parents are here, the parents are here. I do so love this but Maih is growing up in more ways than one and this should be really interesting. Love this group of characters so much.

    Chapter 1

Yeah. The boys are back. Still getting used to each other, but I am happy to see them. Now on to the next part.

    Chapter 1

Painful story. It is hard to see someone who has to deal with survivor's guilt. Then he has the added issue of a friend that has deep feelings for him. Sort of a wound that won't heal. You sort of root for him but you hope that he comes out stronger. Powerful story any way you look at it.

    Chapter 1

It is nice to see you writing again. Poor man had to go through hell to find himself again. I have to agree with his father though, sometimes tough love is the only way to help an addict. Very nice story John.
  18. Thanks for the banner Mann. Now to try to figure out when I can read. Damn morning meeting means I am off to bed shortly.
  19. Funny, I knew the date and tried hard to put it off. Dad and I just don't talk about it, but he has it worse than I do. Remembering my mother. Today would have been her 75th birthday. He went to bed a few hours ago. I don't think either of us mentioned it at all to each other. I couldn't let the day go without saying something. I posted it on Facebook and I am commenting here. Next week I know he will want to go to the grave site. The snow should be gone and it will be their anniversary. March isn't an easy month between these two events in a week. We still haven't hit the anniversary of her death. What really got to me today was we have an older gentleman who works at the security desk at my job. He always plays the oldies station and Anne Murray came on with Snowbird and I nearly lost it completely. Was one of my mother's favorite songs. Most days it is okay. Occasionally I remember her and smile happily, and sometimes it is with a sharp pain of loss. You go on, the pain lessens, the hurts fade, the good memories remain but you never completely forget.
  20. Hmm. Been digging through Mom's recipe book trying to find her sour cream cake. Can't find it anywhere. Anyone have one they are willing to share?

    On Being Old

The old have knowledge and life's worth of experience. The things you learn, the things you discover, and the things you share. You are never too old til you stop trying, and you are only too young if you don't ask questions.
  22. We just see the end result of Dennis leaving. We have no idea what Nikki and Dennis talked about before hand. Glad you liked this. I enjoy my slice of life pieces.
  23. “When will I see you again?” Dennis paused in the doorway and turned to see Nikki standing there. “I don’t know.” Dennis looked at the suitcase in his hand and then back at Nikki. “I can’t stay with him any more Nik. If I do ….” Nikki came over and tossed her arms around him. “I know, love. He can be really sweet and a real bastard.” Dennis took a deep breath to keep from crying. Nikki had taken him in when his family had to move to California just months shy of his graduation. Justin meant
  24. Happy Birthday Wings. May your bookshelves be full and your time to read plentiful.
  25. I see what you mean about our stories. Yes, reunions and the death of a partner but we varied greatly in what else was happening. Very sweet tale Val. Life goes on and at least for Vince and Jeremy it was only twenty years.
