There is amazing amount of material in this chapter, so much so that it should be divided into two chapters: one about the powers of the stones, and the other about the reading of the will and results. I'm happy for Parker, a little sad for the others. We have new characters to replace those who died. Is that coincidence, or magic? Who are they/were they? Will we ever find out?

The events of this chapter have enlightened me somewhat. I think not as much as Shay's revelations. He now has knowledge of the enemy, and once more feels the power of hidden sunlight. But he had to get awfully, viscerally close to the Arbitor to get that. Eew!-so disgusting! I can only imagine the smell... The action scenes here were amazing. You pull me right into them, making me hate it when each chapter ends.

I like your writing style. It's fluid, direct, and Nick is clever. He's sensitive and caring, -doesn't miss much either. This all makes me want to read more...

Such an emotional day for Nick. I was wondering who John was, and now I know. This 'home' has at least offered Nick companionship that he knows he won't get back at his real home. The last scene shows that the pain is still raw and that his time at this facility hasn't done much to ease that. He has made friends though, and those are important. Friends also distract and deflect. Seems like now he'll have to confront the big problem. No wonder he doesn't feel quite ready to go back.

I can't help but feel Jeff's confusion and resulting conflicted emotions as he arrives on Daglon. It's all so uncertain and he has no control over things. The constant surprises and new risks must wreck his nerves. You capture that well, and it's not near over, is it?

This is a beautiful chapter that shows us that it's not all drama and angst raising teens. I'm so happy that Mirabelle returned just in the nick of time to save Button from the wicked slut. He's basically well-grounded, and that's about as much as anyone can realistically expect from a child growing to adulthood! He deserves the best, ...and he may just get it.

Who is this wizard who has the power to destroy the Royal family? Is it Frederick, Raven, or that Demon that Raven conjured up from Hell? Now I'm really anxious to find out. It's so sad that the brothers and their father are all gone. They were all good and special people. I hope we find out who did this soon... I'll be waiting.

Mystery solved, and a good one it was too. Stu Marcus and Cal got belated justice and it seems Cal won't be alone anymore. Glad to hear that Worthington died, he was such an ass. I wonder if he arranged to have Stu killed...we'll never know. Thanks for sharing your story, I enjoyed it. -
The meeting with the government people went so smoothly that I'm reminded that this is fiction, of course.

You really show us life with teenagers and the resulting chaos wonderfully, -not that life with teens is necessarily wonderful. It's mostly frustrating, but never dull (except to them). I love this story!

I enjoyed this chapter with Paul and Jarrod's antics, -just two students having fun. Jarrod is really a free spirit in some ways, lets see if things get more involved. Jarrod's arrival takes some of my worry away from the creepy 'Johnnos' and their predatory manipulations. Maybe now Paul has someone he can talk to about his weird modeling work. I just can't abide creeps who dupe naïve kids and blackmail them into doing things they wouldn't or shouldn't do. That aspect of the story is almost sinister, and makes me wonder if that is the main plot. We'll see.

This is turning out to be quite an interesting and intriguing mystery. I like your writing style and the smooth pace of the story. Poor Stu! At least it was a painless death, but still tragic, -he'd finally found happiness in his gray little world... -
I remember this period in the early 1980's when the 'Moral Majority' first came to national attention. I was working at the time with a man who was a local cheerleader for their cause. He was an ugly little self-important man and a two-faced hypocrite who was not so secretly in lust with his teenaged son! I was totally disgusted with him, and was not alone apparently either. I found out later that some of my co- workers had snuck into his office and peed all over the carpet in his office. I don't know that he ever figured out what caused the sudden 'musty smell'. -Can't say that I miss the '80's at all, but they sure were interesting times. I love this story, and it certainly bring back the memories.

The idea that Jeff and possibly other Earth people are largely Daglan in origin is intriguing. Lest has feelings for Jeff too, and that's obvious even to the doctor. Now we are going to meet some real alien types!

There's a whole lot of magic going on here, and none of it is the good kind. Then that poor child killed a man who had been friendly beforehand. I hope things get better soon.

It's hard to accept that this wonderful story has come to an end. I've looked forward to and enjoyed each chapter. You succeeded in creating some fabulous and unique characters that I came to love. I'm really going to miss all of them. I think that of all your stories that I've read, this one is now my favorite. You have a terrific gift, and it seems to get better all the time. Thank you for sharing it.
