We get more news of Bobby. Jason sees him as a true friend, and now that he's back home and not contaminated (I hope), then there's hope that the world hasn't become totally sucko. I just hate it when the world goes sucko.

I know there'll be death, violence, and drama, but the prospect of a cure being found surprises me. I'd be even more surprised if it happens early on in the epidemic. Your detail and way of putting us in suspense is excellent as always. I'm enjoying the story, but this chapter was annoyingly short.

The General tactfully avoids saying that those who have symptoms will need to be exterminated. The radio show topic will be rendered moot in a matter of hours anyway, - except they did bring up one point: Who did this? I've been wondering about that since the drones were first sighted. What do those people who were caught in California have to say?

I'm glad to see the tension was diffused. What else can the guys do but wait and see? It's good to see they are willing to give it a chance to work out. That alone makes me think they know it's worth it.

We had an old WWll army campaign tent when I was a kid. Waxed heavy canvas. Weighed about a ton. Dad got rid of it when nobody was looking. I think he hated that thing secretly, since he always had to put it together. We kids loved it though!

Reading this chapter brings back memories of how unsettling the first years of the AIDS crisis were. I'd forgotten about that poor hemophiliac boy being ostracized and he certainly wasn't the only child who was discriminated against. The good news is that there's a child born with HIV in Mississippi who now seems free of the virus after a new treatment. Who would ever have thought that after 30 years we'd still have got no further than this?

Mutant viral killer zombie mist; now that is disturbing! I can see a case of rusting canisters gathering dust in some secret, forgotten KGB warehouse in Central Asia ...waiting for it's moment.

I can't imagine how I'd deal with waking up and finding that I am becoming part of a mentally linked network. Danny, of course has no problem at all with it. (I would) It looks like Marion is in trouble, and I'm sorry for that. There's so much strife inside this federation. Damned politicians again with all their distractions and personal agendas messing things up, and we haven't even confronted the aliens yet... Again you leave us with tension, suspense, and anticipation.

Caroline and Calvert both redeemed, - and rewarded. George captured in a marvelous and not all that strange 'enemy' territory. But of course he is who he is... he'll make the best of it. This is a delightful chapter, giving us an opportunity to know more about Caroline and Captain Calvert, but George is the clear winner. Imagine meeting the people he does in this 'prison'. My favorite quote from Mme. de Stael: 'Politeness is the art of choosing among your thoughts'

The trio and Sonic are fearless. I was half expecting something to pop out of the labyrinth. There's no way I'd have nerves like any one of those four. This chapter seems to have awakened something in Sonic. Really all four of them seem to be growing up. You say there's a surprise coming? -Imagine that!
