Adrian's in trouble, or maybe not so much. Alexi may block the legal
action that his family may want to pursue, but it will probably mean
the end of their friendship either way. Just as well, because it's really
over anyway, and best get it done officially. There's too much pain
no matter what. This is a nice interlude, but hurry and bring Blue Eyes
back soon, before Alexi loses his muse.
I was worried when I saw the name of this chapter, worried about more
deaths, -but they didn't happen, and now the anticipation is even worse.
Worse than a cliffhanger!
I'm re-reading this story. Starting over, I want to say that I really like
this first chapter, how it grabs you and pulls you in. Ho-hum, just
riding in a car in the booring countryside, and WHAM!
It is so nice to read a new chapter of this story. Jordan's sensitivity is
as appealing as ever, as he goes from one scene to the next. I love the
way you put his observations into every little moment, like when he
hardly recognizes his own smiling face in the mirror. Little details like
that make this story a joy to read.
I feel a perfect storm brewing on the horizon, headed right at the Atlantis.
Here's Rachel and the Kookaburra, Moorcroft ready to drop his bomb,
Bridget unaccounted for,-never a good thing, and Gray looming up in
the hills... At least Shane has some good allies. He'll need them.
The Crocs are waiting.
So am I.
No, I didn't think you'd really kill Mira, and I'm glad you didn't.
He is Mira, after all! He and Shay are a unit, and one that will
prevail. This chapter is a remarkable capture of single-minded
perseverence. Bravo SuperMira!
I'm happy to see Ogre's back, but I was impressed and surprised at the
new dynamic. It was by no means a Grudge F-. ...Well, just maybe with
just a little grin, or snarl. I think Eric would be envious if he knew.
Or does he?
I have a soft spot for fairy tales and parables. Magda of Gavadia, she
got back what she gave, and therefore all's well in the kingdom. Thanks
for the romp through the castle, -spiders, bats and snakes.
I started reading this story in late July, and am now caught up to the
current chapter. It seems that all parties have their own plans, and I
wonder how the publication of Bridget's asset list by Kent
Moorcroft will affect the situation. If Bridget sees that some of her
dear late husband's information has surfaced, maybe she'll lose a bit
of that legendary calm and make a mistake?
-and don't you dare stop writing!
This seems to be a decisive chapter. The problems are all set out before
us as challenges or obstacles to overcome. I enjoyed the romantic
dinner scene. I'm surprised that Lily is afraid of Alexi's ill-named mother.
Allegra! -HA! She sounds like a distrustful, controlling tyrant. Alexi
will need to set up some boundaries, he isn't a child anymore. Will
he be strong enough to ditch Adrian , and the family obligations?
All that dead weight that stifles him. Is he up for the challenge?
New love can be such a bitch. We have a fine example of that here, with
all the conflicting emotions and insecurities laid out in vivid detail. Then
the bitter reality hits hard, and there's nobody to talk to about it. Poor
LM. What agony!
It seems the mysterious stranger enjoys a challenge. But is Claude equal
to Guy's challenge? He'll need to sweeten the deal, -at least he does have
Claude's attention.
What an interesting style you write in. I actually like the writing, but I'm
lost in all the names, and am confused about who's who. I need more
information. I like our hero's attitude, he finally becomes a sympathetic
character the end, and cries, something he does not do often do, I imagine.
It's saddest to me when the tough, resiliant ones break down.
