Love on first sight - a fragile thing, so easily disturbed. I have a good feeling though, they each have a story to tell, experiences gained. I'm glad Arron made it out of the door, if only barely. Haha. That would have definitely be too fast. I like the eye-pet names. Love it, Gary!
Uh-oh...Arron reminds me of er...me. lol The preparations for the date as well as his reaction to the mix-up. Temper, temper. haha. And insecurity. Great chapter, Gary.
I stood on his boots in my socked feet and we walked together through the house, they really were that big. Little mouse was my nickname...I was pretty small back then.Thank you, Irri, for your kind words. I'm so happy the poem has been received this well. I feel like I could give him something back.
Thank you, AC! I still remember him as being huge, although thinking about it, I'm probably taller now. And it was my great aunt's favorite cup...I felt so bad when she scolded him. He was the kindest man...I'm happy you all know him now a little too.
Ha, you really have a thing for annoying ladies. And you know what I liked the most? That Lydia was wrong. *smug* Roger liked Brian.just fine.
It was still sad, but at least they had a long time together. Loved it.
Okay...I somehow like the word 'flabbergasted' an now I have an actual reason to use it. I have to admit I have difficulties to believe this change. I mean they always say if you have to face death you revisit your life and your mistakes. Still, it looks like Kendall's father had started to change before he got ill. Hmm...maybe the boys reall have a lucky streak. It would be well deserved.
My Uncle
My uncle was huge as a house,
and his boots looked as big as whales.
His hands were as large as sails,
when he picked up his little mouse.
We used to stuff clay pots with straw,
put them upside down on a stick.
Saved his dahlias with this trick,
and the earwigs learned nature’s law.
For me he sang ‘Hänschen klein’.
For me he made chamomile tea.
Said the broken cup that was he.
Took the blame, although it was mine.
I looked out the window, it rained
in my heart,
Haha, Romeo was first and then I couldn't resist to name him Julian. Thank you, Puppilull!
I haven't decided yet, but I plan to write some more around RRS, so who knows.
What? You don't think a skin tight black tee isn't hot on a barista? Okay, he could wear better jeans...Glad you loved it. There'll be more Jonah in the next one.
Thank you for the review, Tim!
Ha! I actually have a friend who's name is Romeo. He inspired the Romeo in this story. And yes, you're right, I had a small dose of Shakespeare recently, lol. Thank you, Wayne. Summer antho isn't so far away.
