    Word War II

So? Do you think Jonah managed to piss off Ren to the same extent as you were back then? He would be so proud of himself. Thanks Mike for telling me this, it tells me I got this part right.

  8. I'm glad you came along and didn't throw in the towel. Life can be tough, but the more rewarding is it when all is good again. Right? Nobody told him, Lit. He was reading every comment and the discussion thread all the time. Thank you, Lit!
  9. Thank you for reading, liking and commenting! I couldn't think of a greater compliment than my story making you happy.
  10. I think this story was about loving someone despite their faults, or even because of them. I'm glad you were along for the ride. Thank you, Nlaudenslager!
  11. Yep. I have to admit it has been a long way. Thank you for following along, commenting and telling me your thoughts, Dave.

  14. I couldn't do anything else, now could I? On Valentine's Day?Thank you, Puppilull. I'm glad you liked this end.
  15. So, I can see it worked, you went through quite a bit of emotions. LOL Thank you, Tim! For your wonderful reviews/rants and being Jonah's undeterred advocate.
  16. Approximately eighteen months later… I was fighting to close the trunk of my car while holding two plastic bags with groceries in each hand, when my phone rang somewhere in the pocket of my pants. Usually I would have ignored it, but when I heard ‘Baby Looks Good on You’, my heart started beating faster. It was my ringtone for Val, Alec’s very pregnant wife and I was one of her emergency contacts. Add the fact that I knew Alec had a meeting with his publisher and his woman didn’t know the conce
  17. This year V-Day is in the middle of the craziness we call 'Rheinischer Karneval', were sex is guaranteed anyway. Don't know if you can double that.
  18. I'm glad the ending works for you. That's exactly what he needs to do. Thank you, avidreadr. I hope you'll like the epilogue.
  19. I'm sorry you feel like that. As I said before, Jonah is convinced he loves both of them, therefore he can't make a decision other than the one he did.Thank you, Puppilull.
  20. That's the key sentence Gary: some decisions make sense only to ourselves. The story is told from first the person perspective. Jonah feels he loves both of them and he knows he can't have both. He can't decide. You might have the better view, but he can't very well step outside himself and look from there. Jonah is the heart over brain kind of guy. Thank you, Gary. Reading your comments lets me see how you feel about the story, the characters and knowing I can do all that is very encouraging.
  21. In Jonah's opinion it was the only thing he could do. He thinks they're better off without him.But you have them all the time! LOL Thank you, Lisa! For everything.
  22. Do you know how motivating it is to read the first thing someone did when they came home was to read your story? Thank you Val! This story is written from the first person perspective, so of course it's very subjective. So what we read is the jumbled mess Jonah's brain is in. The decision he made is the only one he can think of, even if we/the reader can think of other possibilities. We wouldn't have a story though, if Jonah wouldn't be the emotional, sensitive and insecure (I'm quoting Tim here)guy he is. I hope you like the epilogue.
  23. But you can always say what you think. It's really difficult to answer this review without revealing too much, so I'm just going to tell you how much I appreciate and love your perceptive comments and thoughts.
  24. Okay, now I know what the others meant. Whew! But what I really, really loved was this: “Kendall, I need us to both be on the same page here. This isn’t some kind of trial for me. I don’t want to go into this with the idea of attempting to make this work. I’m already there, Kendall. The magic in your writing is how you handle the important situations. How you let them say the wrong things and I feel with them and the right things and I can feel with them too . The above shows it once again.
