YES!!! I hate that Michael had to get hurt for this to happen, but I'm glad he and Kendall are finally going to talk!!! I know they both have some issues to deal with, but it seems very good to me that this could turn out to be the HEA for both of them!!!

I disagree with you and sammiam...Kayden is just learning about friendship and trust and has had no other basis of what is appropriate or not appropriate. Damien should have realized that Kayden wouldn't do anything to betray him. Almost everyone who has ever dealt with Kayden has betrayed him in one sense or another. I don't think Kayden has a bone of betrayal in his little body. How would Kayden know that his "relationship" with Finn was causing problems? Apparently no one else saw anything that was amiss. Kayden doesn't, at least to me, have a good idea of boundaries at this point. Damien does and instead of being upset and angry, he should have been teaching Kayden. This is 99% Damien's fault and 1% Kayden's fault, in my humble opinion.

Those have got to be the greatest parents in the world. Michael's mom is so understanding, caring, and beautifully works her magic to get her son to see the truth. His dad is a rock. I just hope it isn't too late for him and Kendall!!! -
Well, it sounds like the proverbial ca-ca is about to hit the fan! Liam's and Doug's antics were bound to get them in trouble eventually, but maybe this is a good thing in Liam's pursuit of Neil.

Loving this story. It is totally beyond me how a mother can be so cold and unfeeling that she allows her child to be thrown out. I do agree that CJ got the better end of this deal. I hope that when he does face his demons, he confides in his dads.

I'm really enjoying this story. I look forward to getting to know James, his mom, Casey and the rest. Casey definitely needs a friend. This town seems like a nice place with good people, at least the ones we've met so far. -
I'm not sure I agree with another reviewer's assessment that Doug is trying to keep Liam in check. It almost seems to me that there is more there than Doug is admitting to or even knows is there. I really have to wonder if there is some denial going on... I do agree that the Liam/Neil line is fraught with lots of problems and the potential for a huge disaster, but we'll see how well Liam can convince Neil before that happens. Life is certainly complicated. I hope Deon's kicking problems aren't going to lead to him having problems with his dad...that little point about being sent on a wild goose chase by his dad made me worry a little bit. Just when things were really starting to get better...I guess time will tell.

Holy crap, that was intense!!! I'm sitting here crying like a baby. The emotional response you pulled from me is so strong. This is a great start to what is going to be an epic story. Unrequited love is one of the hardest things to deal with and get over. I know...I've been in love with someone who doesn't return it for almost 30 years. You have managed in this first chapter to pull out so much emotion and anguish. I know Kendall's pain. I've howled and been sick because I was (and still am) in love with someone who couldn't love me back. Like Timothy, my consolation is that this story isn't complete and there is much left to tell. I always hold out hope for the HEA, but we'll have to wait and see what happens. Can't wait for the next chapter.

OMG, I remember these feelings well...it happened in college for me. I fell fast and I fell hard. Almost 30 years later, I'm still in love with him. What a shame it was one sided...he liked me a lot, but that was all. I can't wait to see what happens with Deme!!!

I love how you are setting up a confrontation between Liam and Neil and the boyfriend idea. This is going to get interesting. I also like how Neil is seeming to outgrow the "making Jim leave Tony for me" thing... I hope Dave can get the help he needs and get better. I know that a lot of people never truly get rid of PTSD.

Love this story...I would love to see it continue. I have a young man I feel the same way about. He is like a son to me and I wouldn't want it to be more.

What a beautiful story. I love that it is left up to the reader to decide what happened after the bonding. I choose to believe they lived happily ever after and that Lox's powers doubled. I am a cat lover and Toto and Plato were so cute.

This story should be a wake up call to all of us. You can't judge someone by what you hear or have been told. A lot of good people are left alone because of something negative that someone has said. I would love to see a back story to this...
