Thanks, Cole. When the idea came into my head, I couldn't see any way to write it except as dark given the anthology theme. It was a lot of fun to write and I hope people enjoy it. Thanks for the review.

Wonderfully well written with an engaging cast of characters, but I want more! Please tell me this is the first chapter of a longer story. PLEEEEASSSSEEEE! I'm feeling like this is just chapter one of a much grander tale. Great story as always. Hope it continues

Thanks, Cannd! Little Man was my first M/M story and I really hadn't written anything down in more years than I care to admit. I've really strived to make my story lines and characters as varied as I can. There are certainly extra chapters that could be written and who knows? I might get the urge to go back and tie up even more loose ends or even look at a sequel down the line. Right now I'm content with the storylines I have and the great feedback I've received since arriving here. I'm looking forward to a lot more of both! Thanks for reading and reviewing! -
I really wanted to try my hand at some kind of disaster and not in a metaphorical sense. When the concept splashed into my head I just ran with it. Thanks for the review!

Disaster and end of the world may have similarities but are certainly not the same thing. -
A bold choice of plot twist but I good one. The idea that gender should be insignificant to one's heart is a concept that we all could embrace better. Even with all the uncertainty we end on a positive, hopeful note. Nice.

Now that would be an awful holiday dinner to survive. I was cringing throughout waiting for the explosion. Clever ending to start the real turmoil by trailing it off into the ending. Loved that. Nice work, Kitt. You should write more often.

Who says a little Dues Ex Machina doesn't make for a happy ending? Granted, it's the younger family members, but enough disasters had been handed out up until this point it all balances out. I think I would have been in tears I when everyone was being rushed to the hospital. I have complete sympathy for the vegetarian curve ball for the dinner party. At least your characters got that before the food was cooked. When it happened to me, it was twenty minutes before serving. Nicely done!

What a messy start yet possibly happily ever after. If Alex doesn't make a mess of things, I'll be sure to swing by and pick up the officer for myself. An moving mix of bittersweet emotions with an ending that's more realistic than perfect. Two very lost men trying to make something of themselves together and there's a chance it may not work in the long run. It's nice to read a tale where the characters go against the danger signs in their heads and follow their emotions with all it's potential flaws. Nicely done.

Literal use of the theme but OMG! It's a miracle he stayed with you after that. LOL You must have some other skills not mentioned in this story. I have to admit I teetered on the edge of laughing and shock as you went through the disastrous accident. If you hadn't said it was a true story, I would have asked if it was. You captured it all so distinctly. Great story.

The last time the sky was blue was well before I was born. Azure skies can only be seen now through archived images on the Link but somehow you never seem to worry about things you never knew. In the future, all para-humans are 2nd class citizens under constant control and supervision. Poll's sponsor is a securities specialist, specifically the man responsible for designing all tech the maintains the balance of human superiority. Smaller communities in the US are accustomed to collecting mail from the Post Office and they survive just fine. If Saturday delivery were phased out, people would learn to adapt just like everyone else. It's not that big a deal. It would be inconvenient at first as people adjusted, but for god sakes it's not a life or death situation. The USPS is contractually obligated to delivery to every address which is why other delivery services (UPS, DHL; etc) subcontract them to complete their own shipments. You can't run an industry in the red indefinitely. Something has to be done. Other countries have made the changes, the US can too.

When you look back on this (if you're not already) You're going to laugh so hard over all of this craziness. Reading about how both of you needled each other over everything was fantastic. Thankfully, in the end you both let it go and moved on to something better. Have a Merry Christmas -
The problem is that this video isn't over the top enough to be called satire. This kind of hiding from your peers is an all too real occurrence that many of us can identify with. I would hope this is an attempt at some kind of public service announcement, but I don't think it's successful if that's the intent.
