  1. I love the Ask an Author feature. Seeing a little glimpse inside a writer's plans and process is always intriguing. This is another nice round of Q&A. Love it. Thanks, Dark!
  2. Thank you! This was a very intense short story to write and while many parts were unpleasant, I tried to capture as much genuine emotion that I could. This was a challenging piece that I am very proud of. Thank you so much for reviewing.

    Ready

It's about time someone popped Mikie's cherry. Go Asher!! :D Hot and sexy as always. Looking forward to next week's installment.
  4. Wow! Thanks for the great comments! I still get weird goosebumps to know people are reading my work. I don't think I will ever not be excited over the prospect. Thanks for the review!
  5. Happy Birthday!!! :D :D
  6. I can understand the appeal of fanfic even if I don't indulge in it. I can see how the fans want more stories and delve further into the realms they love and enjoy and for some this may be the only way to get it. I'm sure some of it is very well written and very clever and obviously satisfies a need out there. I myself would rather see someone funnel that creative energy in creating their own worlds and characters. I prefer unique fiction efforts. I suppose it's easier to write when all the basics are already laid out for you in advance and you can skip a step in the process. Encouraging writing is good, but if you can write fanfic, you can write fiction too. I am also uncomfortable with the idea of people using my stories and artwork for their own purposes without my permission, even if it is meant as a simple form of flattery. A lot of time and energy goes into my work, so I can imagine I would be less than happy to find my characters in stories that I had no part in.
  7. Heidi seems to be a favorite all around. I was seriously impressed that I wrote a story this long in the first place and incredibly flattered over how many wanted it to continue! Thank you so much for all the reviews! This was a great experience for a first time writer and I'm so glad I'm sticking around to write more.

    Broken Men

if Clay was physically capable of doing more at that point, he definitely would have. But this is all typical jock mentality. You get in a brawl and everything settles itself after. That's the simple version. lol
  9. this was not in the original version of the story but was added because I needed something to bridge the surrounding chapters and I just really wanted to meet Heidi and defuse any thoughts of Ogre straying again. It also helped to show that maybe Clay isn't as out as he maybe thinks he is and how he and Ogre would handle their first run-in with other people they know.
  10. There's so much blame to go around here. Eric's interference, Steve's closet issues, LM's willingness to keep secrets from his closest friend all made a mess of things until something very unexpected and awful happens to force them all to confront it. Thanks for reviewing!
  11. I was actually very nervous about the whole "why it happened" portion of Ogre's screw up. I was so worried that people wouldn't accept it as plausible, but apparently I was worried for nothing.
  12. this was a very painful chapter because it's filled with so much heartbreak. I'm so glad I was able to push that through and it affected readers so much. Thanks for the review!
  13. Sometimes nicknames just don't happen or stick. Eric is just kind of like that.
  14. I spent a lot of time trying to make everyone's characters and responses as genuine as I could. It is a unique and familiar group of friends here. Everyone seems to love the Google line
  15. I'm so glad you found this story! It's so nice to see so many new reviews The feedback I've received from Little Man was critical in my confidence to forge ahead with more stories. Read on!
  16. No apologies needed. x10 (maybe even more)
  17. Wow... now if we can only get the wrestlers I have crushes on to come out. But even so... :D :D
  18. D'oh! - requires no explanation...
  19. A story full of content warnings? I R intrigued... hmmm.... **adds to reading list**
  20. Happy Birthday!! :D :D
  21. Happy Birthday, Cia!! :D I followed the "Wench" title to find this! Nice work, Lugh! LOL
  22. I read this article on his blog and thought it was a good checkpoint into reviews and comments. I think it's a great idea to place it here on the Wednesday site article so even more people can see it. Hopefully it will encourage even more people to review and how to go about it in a way that benefits all of us. Good reviews and constructive criticism is how we write better stories and improve the experience across the board. I agree 100% with Sasha about how other sites' anonymous reviews are awful. It's a big part of why I came here rather than start elsewhere. Being here is more of being part of a community.
  23. Time to look over all my work with a fine tooth comb... Oh no! A cliche!!
  24. Ah!!! I have been maligned!!! Mark Arbour was in last week's Ask an Author!! I have been omitted!!! /sulking now...
  25. It reads like the beginning of a coming of age story. Nicely done
