story critique Improve & Encourage #9: Jager
Timothy M. commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Gay Authors Archive
Great I&E @Dodger I have to get out the tissues just thinking about this story, but the love between the two men is amazing. -
Most likely But I've only seen chapter 1, so I can't say for sure.

Well, at least Amshel had wonderful first sex, if he ends up having to date someone he doesn't want.

Chapter 15- Nagging Feelings
Timothy M. commented on Thirdly's story chapter in Chapter 15- Nagging Feelings
Feel free to spam my notifications with as many replies as you want. (I don't get them forwarded to my email). I've forgotten this story, so I'll have to read it again. -

LOL, I'd forgotten about that. But I'm glad my refusal to beta (mostly because I only edit) was a good decision for you too.- 6 comments

Since you're here, can I ask if you'll post more chapters for No Banging ? And did you ever see the story comment I wrote?- 6 comments

February CSR Discussion: All We Have Now by David AB
Timothy M. commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
I know I began reading this story, and I thought it well-written and clever. But I think it depressed me too much at the time to keep reading, which is all on me and nothing to do with the story. I'm simply not that keen on post-apocalypse scenarios. But I love your Rhino and Mouse series, and No Banging. I heartily recommend them.- 6 comments

Nice to have a sweet story of a warm summer picnic to cuddle up to during the Arctic blast. It made me smile. I can relate to the confusing, ever-expanding family.

Who's Nolan ?

That sounds like a good desensitizing therapy opportunity. Don't forget to have your camera ready to take a picture of her face when she unwraps the present.

Oh, very clever with the casually dropped train ticket which shows he took a late train home. And no mention of his witness at the cinema. Keep your cool, Robert, and bury that secret deep inside. Tell yourself the need to confess will pass, and Lance is a murderer, so he deserves his fate. Your parents and Bart should be your priority as well as yourself.

Chapter 22 Matters of the heart
Timothy M. commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Chapter 22 Matters of the heart
LOL, I told you reading too fast wasn't a good idea. I'm almost done with the next chapter, but I need to make a few adjustments before I send it to Kitt. One of my readers, @christal, has very kindly shared some of her personal experiences from being in Michael's situation and needing heart surgery, so I'm taking advantage of that to get the recovery phase as correct as possible. -
Chapter 21 A Day of Surprises
Timothy M. commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Chapter 21 A Day of Surprises
I'm glad you liked the card scene, and I hope you read the third A.I. story to find out who the Guardian Angel is. We'll see more of the cleaning ladies later. Alice is Peter's cousin, but she's as close as a sister, so I can understand how you'd think so. (The sister is called Annika). -
Chapter 20 Close cousins

You're absoluely right. Albert. Patrick needs to rediscover his family and find those relatives who are worth knowing. -
Well, I guess Rachel's pushing did achieve something good. At least the love is acknowledged and that's a huge step. Everything else is negotiation.

I like Erik having domestic daydreams about Ryan. I like Ryan being able to joke about their porn past. I think having weekend retreats is a great idea, especially if they include some talking - eventually.

I agree completely, and was mostly worried about them having sex because it could ruin Bart's life if discovered, not because I thought it was wrong for them to be in a relationship. btw I hope Robert is smart enough not to offer up his cinema alibi too fast, including having the train ticket. If he's questioned about having proof, he can 'think of it' after a while. But to line up all his evidence can trigger suspicion. But let's hope they don't even think of asking him.

I can see two holes in Robert's plan. All the letters to Lance will be last saved at the same time, and if Lance hasn't burnt the letter, the different time for the meeting will stand out. Also, Robert may have been caught on camera at the station while buying food. But the chance of that being discovered is low. And finally I'm wondering which CD Robert threw away ? What did he do with the USB stick? I hope he deletes everything and reformats it. I have no problem with him offing the madman and trying to frame Lance. I hope he gets away with it and never feels guilty about saving himself and Bart. But I'm still worried about them being in a relationship which includes sex. That would be illegal here (Denmark), even though he's above the age of consent, because a teacher is a person of trust who cannot engage in an intimate relationship with a pupil. Even if the student is above 18, it could be illegal.

Good English pub meals are wonderful. And they finally found something to talk about, but I'm not surprised Eric was overwhelmed with sadness over what he's missed.

You still have two links saying chap 23.doc, one at the bottom of the Chapter Text box and one in the Chapter End Note box. If you can't fix it, ask Cia for help. I was pleased they had three relaxing days to end the holidays. I hope they use the mini-camera to catch Lance red-handed.

Thanks, Myr. It looks great - particularly with the spooky banner at the top. I'm so envious. I should have known you were on top of the matter.

@ReaderPaul thanks, but it's not that I have trouble finding the story lists. I normally just click on the author name or the profile picture of those who are active in the forums. My intro was simply meant to set the scene for the real question. I obviously failed. I also know why the comment count says Reviews. That's because before the big update to the current software review was the name for comments on chapters and stories. There was no such thing as a Review of Complete Story. If you look at replies to older comments, you'll see authors say Thank you for the review. For some reason the name wasn't changed from Reviews to Comments in the story list header after the update. This could simply be an oversight, but it could also be due to a technical challenge which Myr, A.J. and the programmer hasn't solved yet. We'll have to wait for them to enlighten us. I'm glad you support the idea of having both comment and review number shown. Hopefully, it will be possible, but if not Comment count is fine.

Cali Sands "Catastrophe"
Timothy M. commented on Fantasyboy69's story chapter in Cali Sands "Catastrophe"
I'm pleased Victoria found a mate, she was so awesome when Dean had to break up with her. -
Now I want to go back and read those chapters with Colton again. He's a really cool guy and my favorite after Quin. I'm glad he and Michael worked things out.

All authors have a list of stories, which can be accessed by clicking the Stories tab on their profile, or for their own list by hitting the blue My stories button. Here's mine as an example https://www.gayauthors.org/author/timothy-m/ At the top of the list there is a header showing how many stories they have written, how many comments and words those stories have. Except the header says Reviews, not comments, which I never noticed until now. Would it be possible to have both number of story / chapter comments and number of story reviews shown ? It's not urgent of course, and sorry if I missed an earlier topic on this.
