Confidential Conversations I
Timothy M. commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Confidential Conversations I
Thanks, Gary. Perhaps once I've finished the story, you'll be able to find time to read it again. It'll probably be a few years from now. -
Planned and unplanned meetings
Timothy M. commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Planned and unplanned meetings
Thank you, Albert. When I set out to write this chapter, it wasn't with the intention of having a light and dark side, but somehow it worked out really well. The day may have started badly for Russ but he rallied with the help of Jacob and now he has Evan by his side. Never underestimate twin power. -
what's a TKO ? Oh wait I know : Technical Knock-Out.

Ugh, getting up at 5 am is so not my thing. I totally agree with Tay and Tom. It was one of my favorite parts in Confounded I where Tay got all grumpy at Mitch for being a morning person. I'd never accept a job which forced me to get up early in the morning every day.

Round Two goes to JD and Drake. Don't we all love to see Jimmy put Preston in his place. It makes me wonder if he's had to do something similar before with his own family. Drake may say he doesn't care about his brother's nasty words or Jimmy's embrace, and he may try to draw lines in the sand. But while he may succeed in shutting Preston out of his life and heart, I bet he won't be able to resist Jimmy in the long run. After all, he apparently knows all JD has to offer after their third date. But even more important, he now also knows what a good friend and supportive partner he is.

Chapter 2 A United Front
Timothy M. commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 2 A United Front
The first times I read this chapter I was pretty annoyed with Drake. Why hasn't he stood up to his family before now? Why hasn't he confronted his mother or father with their lack of support or told her why he doesn't visit? But then I realized Drake has never had anyone in his corner, who really understood where he was coming from. OK, Callie has been an ally, but she younger, a girl and straight. And when JD reacted the way he did, suddenly Drake knew in his heart and mind that he - or rather they were the ones being unfairly treated, and he needed to stop sending mixed messages to his family. To say once and for all: End this unfair treatment or you won't see me again to his mother, and to Preston: you're a small man with a small mind and even smaller As for the mixed messages to his ex, I'm sure JD can read them as well as we do: they care about each other and they're great together. Now, if Drake could only get over whatever caused him to break up with Jimmy, we'll all be cheering. -
It' always difficult to go back and comment on a chapter when you've read the next ones, but I'll try to avoid spoilers for any readers arriving after me. The irony of the title It'll be fun does not escape me. So far there's been no fun for Drake but lots of things to worry about. 1) Indifferent parents and a brother who seems to be a class one jerk. Check 2) An X who's gone over to the other side and will be there with his pregnant wife. Check 3) Another X who's still a good friend and obviously would like to stop being an ex. Check 4) A guy with issues, regrets and insecurities who's not over any of his Xs. Check 5) A weekend of role playing, trying not so slip up about James Dean - who appears to be aptly named for a hunk. Check 6) A road trip to Hell - and trust me Weddings can be hell in many ways. Check Yup, buckle up and let's go.

But there're plenty of us who love the story, warts and all.

Anthology Flashback: Fall 2008: Anniversary
Timothy M. commented on Myr's blog entry in Gay Authors News
I remember reading @Krista's Finding Alex. It made me cry, but it was a wonderful love story. -
I just want to say I think it's perfectly OK to make guesses, wild or serious. If you're afraid of them being a spoiler, just use the eye icon next to the smiley face.

What happens when a self-confident, possessive, but caring man with a huge capacity for love and sex falls head over heels in love with a sarcastic, prickly and skeptical guy who isn’t used to showing his feelings and has no intention of getting involved with his boss? Yup, you’ve guessed it: Sparks fly! Mitchell and Taylan might be said to embody the concept Opposites attract. Mitchell may be domineering and determined, but he has more than met his match in Taylan. They spend the early part of the story teasing and arguing, while being hopelessly drawn to each other. Fireworks are probably more accurate than sparks, and whirlwind romance and seduction could be other good descriptions for Confounded. Give it a try and if you like it, you can continue with the sequel which is even more fun. This review is a shorter version of my blog review from 2015.

Mitch is a wonderful parent and partner. He knows when to push and when to take a step back. He chooses his battles carefully and makes amends when he oversteps. Kit will learn from the best example how to be a good boyfriend to Tom, who needs support and love, but not an overprotective or overdominant partner. A little dominance, especially in bed , will be fine, but Tom is clever and strong-willed, and Mitch is right about him being like Tay and able to do the unexpected, both good and bad. Welcome back, and please stay this time. We've missed you and the story.

Great Author promo. All of Northie's characters are wonderfully real - even the demons.

Lol, you're right. I think it's only called en equestrian ramp, because the Russian Zar insisted on riding his horse up there when he visited. On the other hand, if you need to transport heavy equipment to the top of a tower, wouldn't you like to be ale to use a mule or a horse? Yes, the direct translation is Can I help and the sound is fairly similar. The Danish kan covers both may and can. PS interesting with the Japanese cucumber salad.

I agree, Jacob's parents are good people, and they have their priorities right. They want their son to be happy, and they genuinely like Russ (and Evan) so they care about his happiness too. I'm glad you liked the light bulb moment. Thank you for all your great comments.

Thanks, Albert. It was one of my favorite chapters too, and I worked hard with my beta reader and editor to get it right. You could be right about Russell getting distracted if his boyfriend posed nude. Maybe he should draw Evan instead. I'm sure Chris would appreciate the result.

I'm glad @aditus and I could keep you entertained. I hope you managed to read all three A.I. stories and not just this one. I'm intrigued about the name comment - can you understand Danish? Otherwise I can provide a translation of Angel and Imp's names.

Featured Story: Predator Prey
Timothy M. commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Gay Authors News
What chapter does that occur ? I may start reading from there. When I go back and read A to Z I always start with Andy arriving at Eugene's place and ignore all the bad stuff in the first part of the story. I haven't dared to try Predator Prey due to the warnings and story description.- 18 comments

I think Cameron is a fool. Why does he push his new friend away? He needs allies, and Kevin should be warned about his twin's behavior. I think Kevin is a fool too. He should have been honest to his twin about why he doesn't want to date girls. Keeping it a secret has prevented him getting his twin's support before he got to be a bigot. But perhaps their parents are at fault and not their peers at school ? Devin may be the biggest fool of all. He'll be saddled with a scheming girlfriend, lose his best friend, and alienate his twin, all because he's a narrow-minded, hormone-driven teen. I hope the people in this story develop some balls and brains before I get tired of them.

I just saw this on BBC. I hope it qualifies as good news http://www.bbc.com/news/av/world-asia-india-43346168/india-s-gay-prince-opens-his-palace-for-lgbt-community

Oh, right - yes it was, but I didn'y put it in a box, because it was so short. But I need to get the emoij redone as it's gone wrong. Thanks.

Hmm I seems to recall a Myth Buster episode where they busted the pissing on wire legend. But never mind, it works here and serve him right.

Wow, that left me dry-mouthed and panting. I want to be Quinlan.

I'm confused. There is no message from Russel to Kristin. Are you thinking of one of his messages to Charlotte ? They all look the same to me. I'll check again tomorrow, it's late and I'm off to bed.
