  1. I'm so glad he knows there are people - friends - who understand him. Probably a major break-through, but it'll take time to process all of that. Interesting how it all makes sense to me even though I have no knowledge of the X-men universe and the events you're hinting at.
  2. Oops, somehow I missed this chapter. Well, Robbie did his best to get noticed (and eventually outed), but at least he did it all for Nathan's sake. In any case I think he should keep going down the path of honesty and simply tell his family. He should have done it the first day in the car when he had the chance, but better late than never.
  3. I'm actually almost proud of Robbie, his behaviour in this chapter was acceptable and even really great at times. Nathan does bring the best out in him, and I'm glad he was honest about how he feels and how much he wants to be with Nathan.

    Chapter 20

In spite of the tension around Andrew's situation this was actually a feel-good chapter, with lots of typical situations: Jim being supportive; Ross' mum being kind (and accepting of the prospect of her son having a gay boy in his bed, lol); Doug being his ususal stupid inconsiderate self although he did apologize; Ross being worried about his chances in the AFL league; Neil being analytical and helpful in spite of his reserve, and of course Ty having another clash of wills with Julie and her coming out on top. I was all uh-oh at the end of Ty's visit to the doctor. I bet Paddy was sweating when he got Ty's phone call, but he seems to have averted the suspicion for now. I wish Ty had told Julie, because she would have put two and two together. But I guess Ty has to suffer so we can be held in suspence about who gets to draft him in the end. I can certainly understand Warwick's wish about Ross, and I assume he's been told about Richmond's interest and the interview. If not, Ross is a bad boyfriend. So, perhaps Warwick should try for a positive wish rather than a negative. At least he now seems more concerned about keeping Ross than forgetting Kevin. And now we know what Daphne's sister suggested and it seems like a good plan. I hope for Kevin's sake it all works out. I'm trying to make a list of what other preparations he has to do before Saturday. He needs to go shopping for lube (I assume he already has condoms), he needs to get tested, and most importantly he needs to talk tö Alistair. I really want us to be there for the last part. Fingers crossed for next Saturday - and for Warwick and Kevin to get laid at the same time. Even though I know we won't be there for that. Sigh, it's the one thing I 'resent' about your stories, but I respect your decision.
  5. Thank, buddy, I'm glad you found your way here. PPC is my old name for TCatC and comes from the first chapter title Patrick's Personal Card. Sorry about the confusion. You're right about me needing to focus on my two main stories, but I'm almost done with another anthology A.I. story for the Blindsided theme, so I hope to get that finished. CC comes next and then I'll get back to Patrick and Peter (and Michael, of course). Your predictions about Imp's reaction and how they feel about each other could very well be true, and I'm sure most readers would be satisfied with such an outcome. I can easily understand your argument about gender. Imp is definitely male, but as for Angel... Thank you for reading and reviewing.
  6. I'm sorry about that, Azorf, and you're absolutely right about me letting my readers down with a lack of posting. I have no excuses, but I will get back to Patrick and Peter asap. Right now I have the CC twins yelling in my ear as well as Imp and Angel. Once I've dealt with them, I'll try to get some chapters done here. Thanks for checking in and letting me know you miss them, it helps to get me going.
  7. Tobyn has indeed shown he will do anything for his mate: run his paws sore and his heart to near bursting, kill a hunter who threatens his man, admit to being dense and at fault for running away before and for denying what was plain for Tilly and others to see. He'll give every ounce of energy, his heart and his body to the mountain man, who is his earth mate, now and forever. They took turns in teasing each other gently, admitting how they felt and the fears they had. Of course they also took turns in donating saliva and being bossy. I have no doubt they will take turn in their lovemaking and caring for each other and sharing the burden of what comes next: hunting down the hunters and reconnecting with other packs. Oh and I agree about liking the slow pace of the bonding, like Miss Sybil said: it's the same a falling in love. Btw I laughed at Tobyn's joke about Kellar as the ladies' favorite, but at the same time I'm happy the three most important women in Tobyn's life read him the riot act on stupidity.

    Chapter 4

I shall ignore the Douchebag, he can go fuck himself, Laird or whatever. I hope Noel will let Kris into his heart and make him happy. They could have a long happy life together for 60-70 years, although Kris may become suspicious when Noel doesn't age. My main fear is that Kris will fall victim to some scheme to kill Noel which would mean more heart-break for the poor guy. Seems Noel made the right choice about leaving all that stuff behind. I hope he'll be able to visit Simon and Landyn, since they clearly care about him.
  9. Once again both the title and the chapter note reflected the emotions of the characters in the story and your readers. We were overwhelmed by emotions: anger at Tilly fuckng things up and sadness at her remorse. Anger at Tobyn for running away and once again leavng Kellar to deal with the pain of rejection and heart-break. We were with Kellar every step of the way as he left and ran back home to lick his wounds, overwhelmed by the avalanche of events leading to this separation. It made sense when Kellar shifted and ran, more angry than scared, and then SLAM ! We were trapped in a situation which took our breath away and had our eyes running scared along the lines of text hoping for some miracle. The relief as Tobyn came out of the blue and executed the murderer (a much easier death than he deserved) was overwhelming for Kellar and us, yet we had barely processed this reprieve before the roller-coaster once more plunged into a pit of fear. The chapter ended with Tobyn running as fast as he can, scared for the life of his mate, and Kellar clutching at his leg and his hope and love for the golden wolf. And if you're feeling out of breath after reading all of the above in one go, now you know how we felt after the end of Kellar's run.
  10. Ordinals: that must be a difference between British and American English, because I was taught to write 2nd, 3rd, 5th. Or are you saying they should be written this way when they are dates eg October 2nd, but not when they are instead of second, third and fifth (eg he came 2nd).

    Chapter 19

It speaks volumes of how secure they are in their relationship that Corey knows Jason cancelling their plans are due to work and he simply organizes an evening out with Liam. Same for Jason calling him and joking about replacement eye candy. Of course, now I want to know what those hours of fun entailed. I can understand why Liam wants to give Alek a chance and Corey has a good point about giving Alek some better role models than the males in his family and (probably) most of the hockey players. Although, they can't be too bad if he asked Liam to come see his game. I'm sure Jason can help Alek find alternative financing for his garage, so he can tell his dad to piss off, if the reaction is as bad as expected.

    Chapter 18

Every time I get to the phone call from Drew I start chuckling. Of course, before that I was and drooling a bit. In addition, I'm glad they spoke their commitment and were on the same page about being 'out' to the world as a couple. They are great together.
  13. Some nice steps forward here, even if Ryan didn't get his wish fulfilled about new legs. I did have two questions: Who helped Ryan move his stuff? Shouldn't Clayton have told the flight organizer about Ryan being in a wheel chair? Or does he know it's not a problem with access?
  14. Hey Def, we had the same question about chapter titles, so check out Gary's reply to me. LOL, I loved that Freudian slip too.
  15. Something else I like about your characters, Gary, is that while they may be emotional and romantic and even a bit slow to figure things out , they are also intelligent and use their minds to deal with matters of the heart. Even when they do things which make us it is still believable and logical story-wise, and you never drag it out into absurdity. They actually communicate rather than constantly second-guessing what the other part is thinking. Even your teens are amazingly mature and level-headed and I love that.

    Chapter 3

I at Lucky scolding his dick, but I liked him for being honest about what he wanted to do to Senna while still being adamant he wasn't going to take advantage. I don't think Senna will be bold enough to initiate anything while Lucky sleeps, but I bet he'll be kneeling next to the bed when Lucky wakes up. Or perhaps he'll be curled at his feet.
  17. LOL, Drew, you might want to do a spoiler hide with the last part of that comment. One of the things I admire most about Gary's stories are the perfect titles for chapters and the chapter notes. Do they also come before the writing?
  18. I can see I'll never be out of work as your editor, Batman. from your Robin

    Small Rant

If they had said let's help poor kids or parents rather than poor women, it might have felt more equal. I also think it's a matter of finding something donors will relate to or identify with, and maybe a mother and her child(ren) is an easy 'sell.' When I donate to charity I like to give to very specific projects like 'access to clean water for villages in developing countries' or schools or kids in a disaster area. Donating to 'the poor' in general does not appeal as much. But you have some very good points about the way humans like to divide other people.
  20. As I expected there is something about Bobby and their past relationship which is important. Denial isn't just a river in Egypt,

    Chapter 19

Hmm, so the Lions are interested in Dave. I hope Ross told them he would very much like to be on a team with Dave. It would be a huge plus if Ross ends up a Lion rather than a Leopard. But of course I want him to stay in Melbourne, also for Warwick's sake. Let's hope Richmond contacts Ross asap. I liked Trevor confirming that talking to Julie about his footie future as well as training with the Leopards were good choices. Ross is now getting the benefits of coming out to his mother and his friends. They know what the problem is and can act to help. Ross must realize Warwick is the source of Kevin knowing about the interest of the Lions, and I loved how the worry got around to Jim via the brat. We can all imagine Ty getting on the case immediately, lol. I wasn't too surprised about Ross' mum planning to follow him wherever he ends up, It would be logical, also for her sake. I had already thought about Alistair as a good choice for an agent for Ross, so I'm glad Jim brought it up. In fact I've been wondering why Kevin hasn't suggested it himself. I hope Ross calls him to ask more and for contact details. All of Jim's advice was good, but in particular the part about telling the club as soon as possible after the draft. I'm still hoping for Ross' sake he ends up a Leopard, but he'll still go through a fair amount of hassle as the second out VFL player, particularly if Jim isn't drafted. Nice to see Paddy again and good point about having Ty's knee checked, although I'm sure Julie and the doctor at the Leopards are aware of the matter. But seeing a specialist at the clinic is helpful too. Btw I'm surprised Paddy hasn't caught on to the fact that Ty and Jim are a good team on the field, like Julie told Henry earlier. I think the blues should draft Dad and the brat together. Also I'm waiting for Ty to officially change his name to Brad Flanders. It's good to see Liam's parents being supportive of Neil and Liam and their move to Sydney. Apart from Bruce needing time off from work, they'll also need to organize something for Liam's brother, right? He won't be able to stand the hassle of a long drive to Sydney and he'll need a caretaker while they are away. Another good reason to plan ahead rather than leave everything to the last minute. I like Daphne's sister a lot, she's supportive and caring without being too pushy. I hope her idea for the weekend will work out - and in spite of the semi-cliffie making me it was a good set-up for the next chapter. I have complete faith in Kevin but I can understand Daphne's apprehension too. One thing I've wondered is whether she might know the girl Kevin assaulted, perhaps not personally but via chat forums / the transgender community? I think it would be a good idea if they went back for another visit to try to make more amends. In spite of me moaning about the last cliffie in the story topic I actually think it's lucky Ross got the phone call while Jim is there. He can organize a few large footballers to protect Andrew while he collects his belongings. Leopards to the rescue. Althogether another great chapter, Graeme. Now the wait for next Saturday can begin.
  23. sounds interesting, I'll have to check it out.
  24. Well, fuck you too, Brady, and your selfish bitch of a girlfriend. God, how I hate people who let their girlfriends or boyfriends push them into betraying ther best friends, and of course the lowest, burning pit of hell is too good for the nasty X&¤$# who play this game. I'm glad David brushed Brady off after that, perhaps it will make him pull jis head out of his arse and ditch the bitch. But with David's bad luck he'll be right about losing another friend. I hope Brady will feel the pain of regret for the rest of his life, if he loses David completely. And that goes for Mike too, stupid git. He is destroying his relationship in order to please a perverted control freak of a boss and focus a career that is making him into a heartless fool. Perhaps Rain is bad news, but if he turns out to be someone who cares about David and appreciates him, then maybe he'll deserve him in the end.
  25. Thanks, Emi, I'm glad you liked the story.
