Confrontation and control
Timothy M. commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Confrontation and control
Thank you. I try not to think about how many chapters I'll need to write before we get to the weddings. Yes, one solution is for Henry to be gone, but perhaps a better one would be for him to change and be forgiven. But I have no idea yet whether that can or will happen. -

Thnak you CG, I'm delighted you think the chapter show an improvement in Russ. AS stated in the story description one of the main themes is exactly his journey from a shy and almost self-hating boy to a man who stands proud and knows how to love and be loved. There is still some way to go, but he took a significant step forward here. Isa's marriage was probably fine, but she realized Henry was not as good a father as a husband. Or perhaps she woke up to the fact that standing up to her husband more would have been a good idea in order to protect her kids. I can give you the chocolate cake recipe, but everything is in grams, and I have no idea how to convert it into oz. -

Damn - I've had that happen to me a few times. If you want to do a long review, writing it in Notepad or some other program can be safest. I'll look forward to your contribution in the story forum. I'm glad you like the story. -

Thank you so much, I'd almost given up waiting for reviews and gone to bed sulking. JK I'm glad Henry comes across as a 'real' person, it's rather hard to write a man with those traits, when I don't know anyone like that. So interesting to hear about your experience. And you certainly nailed the meaning and importance of the flashback. AC urged me to do a memory and it took me a while to come up with a good one, so it's nice to know it worked. -

Interesting. I simply assumed Alex had given strict orders to his staff that no one should disturb him in his bedroom (to avoid them barging in on him and JJ), and this misfired - plus they didn't think to call him either. -
Yep, finding a good beta and / or editor is like winning the Lottery. So make sure you treat them right, when you get one.

Chapter 34 Queen of Spades
Timothy M. commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 34 Queen of Spades
LOL, Gary, I think I'm a bad influence on you: Gambles and Greed is something I would have loved to come up with for a title or chapter note, and now you've caught the alliteration bug. And so apt, Candy is greedy so she tries to hold out for more, but we all hope her greed will be her downfall. Even better it served to bring Michael and Kendall still closer in their support and understanding of each other. I loved how Kendall made sure to tell Michael he was there for him, even when at work. Michael should learn how to send a text 'Call me when convenient' Mr. Snuggles, sigh, you're so hard on Lanny, I almost feel sorry for him. I think he must be one of the most surprisingly reformed characters in a GA story. Who would have thought it. And Queen of Spades, is this a hint of Candy having a Black Heart with two horns attached? Anyway, I have faith in you and all the good COTT people, and the lawyer will soon put the QS in her place. Although I know from my cousin that prolonged morning sickness is awful, so maybe we should spare her a small dose of sympathy. Now we're waiting for their 'date.' -
When Chris, Evan and I got to the airport, Mom and Kristin’s flight had landed ten minutes earlier, but there were still five minutes until baggage arrival started. We took up positions in the same place where Jacob and I had waited for Evan and Chris, and this time my twin was the jittery one. I saw Chris put a calming hand on the back of Evan’s neck, which lessened the fierce grip he had on my hand. As the minutes went by I noticed Chris developing a tense cast to his shoulders and face.

Black Widow (Story Discussion)

except when they were planning to kill JJ's coach for molesting him, Will had a huge moral crisis after the guy died, and he told the others that they couldn't do this sort of thing any more. So I doubt there will be any murders going on, unless JP can get Will to agree. And Will usually wants to see his victims suffer remorse and make amends, before he evetually forgives them. In any case, I think he'll say that JJ should be the one to decide what sort of revenge he wants. In addition, ME doesn't deserve to be killed - she did her best to warn JJ, and why wouldn't she want to break up him and Alex? Lady Di hated Camilla. We only think it's bad, because we're on JJ side, and we know she's evil. (I don't care about Alex.) Plus it's boring to use the same solution again, I have faith in Mark being able to come up wth something much better. -
LOL, it almost filled the whole screen of my laptop. No problem ... for me. I like spider and snakes and most other critters. Except wasps. I hate them.

That's a very good point. But Wade and Matt already have two kids of their own (+ Ethan) to take care of, so how much time will Wade have to fly to England and look after Alex's son? -
Prompt 168 Now why on earth would I do that?
Timothy M. commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Prompt 168 Now why on earth would I do that?
Rob appreciating male ass is nothing new as Eagle-eyes pointed out in the forum. As to whether it will lead to anything, time will tell (or not). Re cliff hanger, see my reply to Caz. Feel free to dream, but if Rob won't lead girls on he's certainly not going to do it to a guy. Plus Nelson would not be amused. -
How could you? How could you do this to Ty, the Leopards, Peter and us? Putting him out of the team with a knee injury in such a non-important tackle? How are they going to win the finals now? Let's not pretend the brat can be absent, he is the best player of the Team and as important as Roger. Arrrrrgh And the worst thing is now I don't even want the Blues to draft him, because I want the Leopards to win the finals with the brat on the team. I may forgive you if Ty's injury is less than first assumed, letting him play the final. The only good thing about this chapter was Dave getting some relief from the arrest, and the way they sent that stupid AFL scout packing. But of course this won't last either... Because the trial looms in the horizon. Together with non-stop rain since this morning you managed to ruin my Saturday.

I couldn't help wondering whether JJ tried to call Brad first, but was ignored. But then I realized I was being unfair to Brad. In this situation he would have dropped everything and come to JJ's rescue, just like Will did. JJ simply did not wish to call Brad, and very understandably too, because Brad didn't like JJ's relationship with Alex and he would have been pleased it was over, even if he'd been furious at the method. Even a perky Will is preferable to a I-told-you-so Brad. Of course I loved the image of Will as a Knight in shining armor. Concerning Brad's jet I think it was simply his way of trying to keep track of Will and JJ and to curb any silly shopping spree by Will. He probably assumed that if it was important, they would either have contacted him in advance or have no problems with the charter needing his approval. Obviously, he's still unable to understand how Will functions, but in this case it was a wonderful opportunity for Will to spend money in order to piss off Brad. And I can just imagine him saying (self-righteously as only Will can, lol) "Well, if you hadn't restricted the access to your private jet, Dad, I wouldn't have had to spend all this money." I'm not going to speculate on Zach and the break-up. Mark's mind is too devious for me, and I trust Will to find out what's happening and find a solution. And it was nice to see Will acting that bit more maturely, and I guess something good might have come out of the whole Tony deal, though it pains me to say so. I hope Wade discards ME and Alex once and for all, and throws his lot in with JP's family. Or he could argue ME is now part of Alex' family ahd therefore no longer worthy of consideration as a Danfield. Will is going to need Wade, and Matt will want to help JJ, so this aligns nicely. Having Wade snub him as a dishonorable and weak ex-friend will hurt Alex as much as losing JJ.

I may come to regret the cliff hanger even more than you, because I have absolutely NO idea what happens next. So it may take a while for me to write ch. 35. I agree that it's important for the four of them to be friends, it makes it a lot easier for Nelson and Eric. And Rob can go to college knowing there are two great guys looking aout for his brother. -

You're the only one so far to ask about the kindergarten story. I may try to write about it at some point. So the naked soapy hot bods didn't distract you from the conversation? -

Timothy M. commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Prompt 417 But why would you want me to meet you there?
Why Caz, are you saying you approve of Rob's plan ? Well, it may work out, we shall have to see when I get that far. I got distracted in the next few chapters. -

LOL. I think Carlos was disappointed Rob didn't do a CJ and thump the idiot, but I decided to give Jazz a chance to shine. Glad you liked it. -

How could you forget Kyle and Eric and Will's broken nose? It was the incident which led to one of the most painful moments in CAP when Will once more was betrayed by someone in his Family (his Grandmaman and Claire). But at least Brad was there for Will, standing up for him - one of Brad's finer moments. If Will wants to salvage his relationship with Zach, he should stay away from Tony - hell he should stay away from him in any case. It seems to me whenever Will gets involved with Tony in any way it fucks him up - including his relationships with others. I want him to write off Tony as anything but an old acquaintance he's polite to when they meet. Sorry, but I hate Tony. -

Prompt 168 Now why on earth would I do that?
Timothy M. commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Prompt 168 Now why on earth would I do that?
Well, don't expect me to always be this productive, although I have to admit your enthusiastic reviews and comments in the forum do inspire me to keep writing. All authors thrive on feedback and I'm lucky to have many GA friends responding to my stories. Anyway, I'm glad I fulfilled your expectations about why Eric did not come out to Rob earlier. It made sense to me. I would like to add that not only does Rob feel entitled to meddle in Eric's life, but he expects Eric to meddle right back. Ignoring Rob would make him unhappy, and Eric taking an interest is important. Baseball is the prime example so far. -

Thanks Gary, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I've been having difficulties with writing Rob for a while, trying to balance the carefree, fun guy with the caring brother who appreciates Eric. I hope I managed it here.
